The City Commission met in regular Session Monday June 8 at 2 :30 P.M.
Present: Commissioners Forrest Lake. ( Mayor) C J Marshall.
Absent Commissioner S 0 Chase.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Communication from City Planning Commission Re: Russell Boat House eta. read
and filed.
Communication from Chamber of Commerce Re: Removal Hutton Asphalt Plant read
and ti l ed.
On motion duly seconded and passed the Mayor and City Clerk were authorized
to execute a deed to Seminole County for the following described property upon the VW -
ment to the City of Sanford the sum of $6,000.00. Property described as follows:
"Beg. on N. line of Fulton St. in City of Sanford, Fla. at a Point 162.5 ft. W. of W.
Line of Park Ave. Shenoe run W. 76 ft. thenoe N7. 138 ft. 3 In. thenoe E. 76 ft., then
S. 138 ft. 3 In. to Beginning."
Mr. Byrd of the Southern Utilities Co. cams before the Commission requesting to be
allowed to locate a sub statiom on the City Property near water works atsservoir, and
same was granted on oonditiom that same would be removed at the pleasure of the City.0
The City Manager to give exact location to Mr Byrd. i
The City Clerk was authorized to cancel the 1924 Personal Taxes assessed against
the following:
A B Lovejoy in the sum of $4.50
t7 A Styles- in the sum of $8.10
Mrs Ethel Biggers " " " 4.50
Same hppoaring to be a double assessment,
requesting pawing
Petition from property owners /on East Fourth SItest from Locust Ave. east to
Mellonville Ave 24 ft. shoot asphalt on rook base. Same was approved and the City
Engineer instructed to proceed with preliminary work.
Petition from H S and T L Long to have Eighth St. paved from Mellonville Ave. west
approximately 467 feet. Same was approved and the Engineer instructed to proceed with
Preliminary work.
Upon motion duly seconded and passed, the City Engineer was instructed to proceed
with preliminary work for the paving of the following streets:
French Ave. from Ninth Street to Geneva St,
Certain streets in Highland Park.
Certaim streets in Pinshurst
Union Ave. from Pump Branch to Me110nvIlle Ave.
Eighth St. from Mellonville Ave. to Summerlin Ave.
Ratio St. from Park Ave. to Oak Ave.
Franklin St. from Park Ave. to Oak Ave.
Commissioner .a J- Marshall introduced Resolution #214 entitled:
" A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE PAVIM re- pAVING, HARD SURFACING AND RE HARDSURFACING

Thereupom. said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading of said resolution.,
t#p question was put upon the adoption of same. Those voting- -in favor of the passage
and adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners Forrest Lake, amd C J Marshall.

Thorsupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission of
the City of Sanford, Florida had unanimously passed and adopted Oat oertaim resolution
#214 entitled:
A Resolution providing for the paving re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfacing
of Fulton St. from Park Ave. west to A C L R R. a width of 44 feet."
The City Manager was authorised to purchase 10000 feet of fire hose 0-1.40 per
foot, on one and two years time 0 6% interest.
The following *ills were read, approved and the Clerk authorised to draw checks to
