Adjourned Session January 19th. 1927.
The City Commission of the City of Sanford Florida met at the City Hall at
Twelve O'Clock Noon for the purpose of canvassing the returns of the bond election held
in the City of Sanford, Florida on the 18th day of January A.D.192?.
Present: Commissioners Forrest Lake, S O Chase and E F Housholder.
The City Commission then proceeded to canvass the returns of the bond election held
on the 18th day of January A.D.192? for the approval or rejection of: Ordinance No. 145
of the City of Sanford Florida entitled:
"An Ordinance providing for an issue of bonds by the City of Sanford, Florida in the ann of
Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars, for Municipal purposes, the prodeeds derived from the
sale thereof to be used and expended to erect, construct and equip a Nunicipal Hospital in
the City of Sanford, Florida;~nd to determine whether bonds to the amount of $250,000.00 bear-i
ing interest at the rate of 5~% per annum, interest payable semi-annually, said bonds to mature
Thirty years from the date of the issuance thereof, should be issued by the City of $anford
Florida, as stated and set forth in Ordinance No. 145, and from the canvass of said returns,
found the result of said election to be as follows:
The number of votes cast by free-holders voting for the approval of Ordinance No.145
and for the issuance of bonds in the sum of $250,000.00
354 votes.
The number of votes cast by free-holders voting against the approval of Ordinance
No. 145 and against the issuance of bonds in the sum of $250,000.00
83 votes.
The number of votes cast by qualified voters, not free-holders, voting for the
approval of Ordinance No. 145, and for the issuance of bonds in the sum of $250,000.00
70 votes
The number of votes cast by qualified voters, not free-holders, voting against the
approval of Ordinance No. 145, and against the issuance of bonds in the sum of $250,000.00
None.
Total number of votes cast by freeholders and qualified voters, not free holders
for the approval of Ordinance No. 145, and for the issuance of bonds in the sum of $250,000.00
424 votes.
Total number of votes cast by freeholders and qualified voters, not free holders,
against the approval of Ordinance No. 145,
$250,OOO.OO
and against the issuance of bonds in the sum of
83 votes.
Thereupon the following order and resolution was duly passed and adopted.

spectOrs of said election; and
WHEREAS? said returns have been duly canvassed by said Commission, and the canvass of
votes
said returns shows ~2~/to have been cast for the approval of said ordinance and £or the iss~
of said bonds, and 83 votes to have been cast against the approval of said ordinance and
against the ~Ssuanc~ of said bonds, and
WHEREAS, upon a complete canvass of said returns it is found that a majority of
votes was cast in favor of said ordinance and in favor of the issuance of said bonds, there-
fore:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CON~[ISSION , and it
election held on the 18th day of January A.D.1927,
is so declared, that the result of said
as aforesaid, shows that a majority of
voters participating in said election voted in favor of that certain ordinance of the City
Of 8anford Florida, to-wit: Ordinance No. 1~5, entitled:
"An Ordinance providing for an issue of bonds by the City of Sanford, Florida
in the sum of Two Hunired and Fifty Thousand Dollars, for Municipal Purposes, the proceeds
derived from the sale thereof to be used and expended to erect, construct and eGuip a Muni-
cipal Hospital in the City of Sanford Florida," and for the issuance of bonds in the sum
of $250,000.00 to be used for the purpose aforesaid.

Mr S O Chase then introu~U~ed Resolution $337, ~.relat£ve to the construction by
the City of a drainage pipe through the Bay Head property of Mrs A M DeForrest.)
and moved that same be adopted.
Said motion being duly seconded, prevailed by the unanimous vote of the City Commission
Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission of
the City of Sanford, Florida had by unanimous vote passed and adopted Resolution ~337.
There~being no further business the meeting adjourned.
