Y-r Floyd Palmer came before the Commission asking for authority to purchase for the use of the Athletic Field one Passenger Bus from the San Juan Garage Co. Purchase ~rice ;,,:,950.00, to ~e paid Cash t~l,O00.O0 and b~lance in t¥:o payments, Apr. !~!-th ~950.00 and ~.iay 1~, .~1,000.OO. On motion duly adopted the same was approved. The following resolution was offered: RESOLUTION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO!,2~ISSIOi~ERS OF THE CI~rY OF SANFORD FLORIDA. in a meeting assembled, that the Mayor-Co~%missioner be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an agreement ,.vith the Atlantic Coo~st Line Railroad Company, and to sigm same on behalf of Said City of Sanford, Florida, whereby the s~id Railroad Comvany grants and gives to the said City of Sanford, Florida , the right and privilege to lay and ~aintain, for the purpose of w~ter su-ply~ a line of 2 i:~ch galvanized iron pipe across 'the right-of-way and yrad property and underneath the tracks of the Railroad Co~apany at Rand'~; Yard, Scnford Florida,; s?id pipe extending across said rib%t-of-way and yard property in a northeasterly and southwesterly direction at right angles to said tracks at a point 23~O feet southeastwardly, as measured alon~ the center line of the Railroad Company's main track, from mile post 122 ( from Jacksonville) as more particularly descri~.ed in said agreement, which agreement is dated Februa? 23, 192?. On motion duly adopted, the Clerk was authorized to instruct the Clerk of the Circuit Court to cancel of record, City Tax Certificate ~59, dated Aor. 1, 1911 Against all except Lot 6 of Blk 9 Tr. 19 ( S~ ~e appearing to be an incorrect descriotion. On motion J:aly adopted the Clerk w?s authorized to issue~ warrant for $200.00 to ~[ i~[ Smith, covering price of lands deeded by him to City for Right-of-way purposes. On motion duly adopted, the Clerk was authorized to issue check for $125.O0 to Rosie Zack and charge to charity account, also to issue cheek for $1OO.O0 to Ben Cantwell and charge same to Athletic Field Account. The Clerk was also instructed -to write L[r A P Connelly that the City Co~mnission has decided to pave the following streets using rock base and surface treatment with curb and jutter , a ~,~n of 2~ feet. Insurance plan for City Employees, and on motion duly adopted Mr Chittenden was given permission to take the matzer up with the Employees and ascertain if he could get the required percentage and make a report to the City Commission as to the actual cost of same to the City. Co~mnissioner S 0 Chase introduced Resolution ~ requiring sidewalk construction on west side of ~oplar Ave. adjacent to Lot 1 Blk Z St Gertrude Addn. Same was unanimously adopted by the City Commission.
