052327-Regular MeetingCITY COMMISSION, SANFORD. FLORIDA. Regular Meeting -E.~o~y May, ;~3 at 2,3019 27 Present: Commissioner Forrest Lake (Mayor) and S 0 Chase. City Manager , W B Williams and City Engi~?e~ Fred T Williams. Absent: Oommi~sioner E F Housholder. Minutes of last regular and adjourned meetings read and approved. Commissioner S 0 Chase thereupon introduced Resolution $345, entitled: "A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE PAVING, REPAVING, HARD SURFACING AND RE-BARD SURFACING OF FRENCH AVENUE FROM NORTH LINE OF WOODRUFF STREET SOUTH TO STATE ROAD NO.3 A WIDTH OF 24 FEET." and moved that same be adopted. Said motion being duly seconded, prevailed by the unanimous vote of the City Commission. Thereupon the Ohairman of the .City Commission announced that the City Commission of the City of Sauford had by unanimous vote, passed and adopted Resolution ~345 entitled: , A Resolution providing for the paving, re-paving hard surfacing and re-hard surfaci.ng of French Ave. from l~rthline of Woo&ruff Street south to State Road No. 3, a width of 2~ feet." Thereupon Commissioner S 0 Chase intorduced Resolution ~346, entitled: "A RESOLUTION PRESCRIBING THE FORM AND DETAILS OF A~ ISSUE OF BONDS BY THE CITY OF SANFORD FLORIDA, IN THE SUM OF T~O HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. AND PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF AN ANNUAL TAX UPON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF SANFORD FLORIDA, SUFFICIENT TO PRODUOE EACH YEAR THE SUM OF MONEY NEOESSARY TO PAY THE I~TEREST ON SAID BONDS AND SUF- FICIENT TO CREATE A SINKING FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE REDEMPTION OF SAID BONDS AT THE MATURITY THEREOF. # and moved that same be adopted. Said motion being duly seconded, prevailed by the unanimous vote of the City 0o~enission. Thereupon the 0hairman of the City Com~ssion a~ounoed that the Oity Commission of the City of Sanford Florida had by unanimous vote passed and adopted that certain resolution numbered 346 entitled: "A Reso~tion prescribing the form and details of an issue of bonds by the 0ity of Sanford Florida in the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars, and providing for the levy of an annual tax upon all taxable property within the City of S,~eord Florida, sufficient to produce each year the sum of money necessary to pay the interest on said bonds and suffiolen~ to create a sinking fund for the purpose of the redemption of said bonds at the maturity thereof." On motion duly adopted the City Olerk was instructed to publish notice of sale of bonds on the 15th day of June 1927 as follows: 250,000.00 ~or Hospital / 150,000.00 for Fire Station 40,000.00 for Electric Alarm System 200,000.O0 for Municipal Docks and wharves. .~00,000.00 for Bulkhead. Upon motion duly adopted, the Clerk was authorized to cancel the foll~ing taxes on the 1926 Tax Roll: Lot ~ BlOck 6 Tier B, E R Trafford e Map of Sanford.
