070527CItY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA. miNUTES Present: Commissioner Forrest Lake, Mayor, E F Housholde~;Ci~y Manager W,B.Williams Absent: Commissioner S 0 Chase. Minutes of last Regular and adjourned sessions read and approved. Upon motion duly adopted the Mayor was instructed to call an election on Charter Amendmentsi to be held August S 1927 The City Commission then proceeded as an Equalizing Board to heam complaints or objections as to the proposed paving of the following street in the City of Sanford, Fla. FRENCH AVE, from north line of Woodruff Ave. south to State Road ~3. There being no complaints or objections filed, the Commission declared the assessments equalized, approved and confirmed. Commissioner E F Housholder introduced Resolution ~351, entitled: "A Resolution providing for the paving, re-paving, hard surfacing and re hard surfacing of Bay Avenue from Geneva Street north 800 feet and an un-named street between Bay Avenue and Mellonville Avenue the south line of which is described as follows: beginning 8 feet south of the north east corner of Lot 131 in Sanfo Park, Run Westerly a distance of 283.9 feet to Bay Ave. a width of 24 feet." Said Resolution was unanimously adopted by the City Oommission. Commissioner Housholder introduced Resolutions ~352-A to 352-E inclusive, requiring con- struction of Sidewalks in certain section in the City. Said resolutions were unanimously adopted by the City Commissiom. Communication from S R Dighton, Chairman of Playground Committee re: suspending Superintendent for balance of summer read, approved and filed. Communication from Lake Monroe Transportatiom Co. re: appropriation for Yacht "~elaka" in the 1928 budget read and filed. Communication from Sanford Yacht Club Re: appropriation for same in 1928 budget read and filed. On motion duly adopted the Clerk was authorized to cancel the following taxes on the 1926 Tax Roll. Personal Taxes. Real Estate Taxes. Lot I W D Hoffman 14.10 , Baumel's Plat. 16.1~ Same appearing to be double assessment. Same having been assessed as having improvements and it appearing that lot is vacant. The following bills were read, approved, and the Clerk authorized to draw checks in payment for same.
