Reg~ar Meeting July 11 at 2-30 P M
Present: Commissioners Forrest Lake ~ Mayor) S 0 Chase and E F Housholder.
0ity Manager W B Williams, Oity Engineer Fred T Williams and City Attorney George A DeCottes.
Minutes of last regular and adjourned sessions read and approved.
Mr Gill of the Florida Power & Light Co. came before the Commission relative to a thirty
year franchise for his Company. After discussinn, and consideration, Commissioner Housholder
moved that action on this matter be deferred until the first Regular Meeting of the City
Commission in October 1927, and same was d~ly adopted.
Communication from Southern Bell Telephone ¢o. relative to replacing old poles etc. on
First Street was read , and on motion duly adopted the Clerk was instructed to write the
Company that it is the sense of the City Commission that any c~anges hereafter made in this
district shall be underground conduit.
Reports of the City Manager and City Clerk for the month of June were read and filed.
Mr S 0 Shinholser came before the Commission in connection with the Municipal Hospital
Committee and suggested changing the location of the same to some lake front position; and
on motion duly adopted Mr Shin~holser was requested to have the Committee make a thorough
investigation and report back to the Commission such recommendations as they may desire as
to location and estimated cost etc.
City Engineer submitted Plats of "Druid Park "and of"Bell-Isle Section of Loch Arbor"
and same were approved subject to the approval of the Oity Planning Board.
The following bills were read and approved, and the Clerk authorized to draw checks to
pay same ( For ~ist see Disbursement book)
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
