The meeting was called to order by the Chairman and the minutes of previous meetings of
the City Commission held On October 2~th 26th, 28th, 29th and 31st. were read and approved.
Commissioner ~ C Hill introduced Ordinance No. 1~7 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE DETER~INING THE ANOUNT A~D FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION AND ~KING THE ANNUAL
TAX LEVY OF THE CITY OF SANFORD FLORIDA FOR THE YEAR A D 1927."
The same was placed upon its first reading and read by title only. Thereupon , Commissioner
W C Hill moved that the rules be waived and said ordinance be placed u p~n its second re~ding ~nd
final passage and adoption. Question then recurred upon the motion for the waivu~e of the
rules, and the roll was ordered called. Those voting in favor of the waivure of the rules
were Commissioners E F Housholder and W C Hill Nay - None.
Thereupon, S~d Ordinance No. l~y was placed upon its second reading and final passage
and read in full. The roll was then ordered called~oon the final passage ~nd adoption of sa~d
~rdinance No 14y, and those voting in favor of said ordin~uce were Commissioner ~ C Hill
E F Housholder Nay - None.
Thereupon, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners announed that the City Com-
mission, by its unanimous vote, had adopted Ordinance No l~y, entitled:
"An Ordinance determining the s~mount ~ud fixing the rate of taxation and making the annual
Tax Leby of the City of S~nford Florida for the year A D l~2y."
Co~mmissioner W C Hill then int=oduced O=dinance No. 1~8, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE ~AKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF SANFORD FLORIDA FOR THE FISCAL YEA~
BEGINNING OCTOBEE l, 1927 AND ENDI~ SEPTE~Y~BER 30, 1928."
The same was placed upo~ its first reading andr~ad by title only.
Commissioner ~¥ C Hill moved that the rules be waived and said ordinance be placed upon its
second reading and final passage and adoption. Question then recurred upon the motion fo~

and read in full. The roll was then ordered called upon the £in~l p~ssage and adoption of said
ordinance No. 1~8, and those voting in favor of Said Ordinance were Commissioners ?~? C Hill an~
E F Housholder ~ay - None.
Thereupon, the Chairmn of the Board of Co~issioners announced that the City Com-
mission, by its unanimous vote, had adopted Ordinance No. 1~8 , entitled:
"An Ordinance ~aki~ Appropriations for the City of Sanford, Florida for the fiscal year
Beginning ~ctober l, 192Y and ending September 30th 1928."
~e City Eanager, W B ~illiams appeared before the City Co~ission and stated tha~
he had received several requests from different persons to rent the truck land owned by the
