Z 1 REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 26 2~2___ City Commission, Sanford, Florida E00014148 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in Regular Meeting on Monday, August 26, 2002, at 7:00 P.M. in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida. Present: Mayor-Commissioner Brady Lessard Commissioner Velma H. Willjams Commissioner Art Woodruff Commissioner Randy Jones City Attorney William L. Colbert City Manager Anthony VanDerworp City Clerk Janet Dougherty Absent: Commissioner Whitey Eckstein The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. Proehmation. Mayor Lessard read and presented a proclamation to Deputy Police Chief Mike McCoy expressing the City's appreciation of his service to the City. Presentation. Linda Kuhn, President of the Sanford Historic Trust, presented a check in the amount of $6,000 to Mayor Lessard, representing the City's portion of the proceeds from the 2001 Holiday Tour of Homes. Mayor Lessard advised the Commission that Commissioner Eckstein had requested that tonight' s meeting be continued to a date certain in order for Commissioner Eckstein to he present for discussion and vote on the item. There was no objection ~from the Commission. Approval of Minutes of the Work Session and Reaular Meetinns of Auaust 12, 2002. Recommended by the City Clerk and the City Manager.
