The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:08 p.rn.

Commission action on options to proceed with the Riverwalk Project.
Acting City Manager Dixon provided the staff reconunendation that the project be rebid. (Commissioner Williams
briefly left the meeting during this discussion and returned.) Commissioner Woodruff moved to move forward with Mayor
Lessard's Option 1, and to authorize the remaining low bidder, Wharton-Smith, to proceed with construction as the Riverwalk
is currently designed, in accordance with the City's purchasing policy. Seconded by Commissioner Williams. Following
discussion, the motion was withdrawn by Commissioner Woodruff.
Commissioner Williams moved to proceed with Mayor Lessard's Option 1, in accordance with the City's
purchasing policy. Seconded by Commissioner Jones and carried by vote ofthe Commission as follows:

Commissioner Woodruffmoved to allow $1 million, rather than $2 million, in liability insurance coverage for the
Heritage Festival fireworks contractor. Seconded by Commissioner Eckstein and carried by vote of the COnunlssion as follows:
