The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the Sanford Community Redevelopmeat Agency met
in Joint Work Session on Monday, September 9, 2002, at 4:17 P.M. in the City Commission Chambers, Sanford City Hall, 300
North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

The Chairman called the meeting to order. "'
City Manager VanDerworp distributed a correction sheet to page 2 of the Sanford Community Redevelopment
Agency Priorities and Multi-Year Budget September 2002 provided with today's Agenda, and reviewed and discussed the
Budget. [Mr. Strickler present for review and discussion.][During the discussion, Mayor Lessard passed the gavel to Vice
Mayor-Conm-n_issioner Eckstein and briefly left the meeting and returned; the gavel was passed back to Mayor Lessard upon his
remrrn] [Dmi'lg the discussion, Mr. Strickler briefly left the meeting and retumed.] After discussion, the Commission concurred
with the priorities established by the Agency. [Mayor Lessard passed the gavel to Vice Mayor-Commissioner Eckstein and left ~'~'
The Commission and the Agency discussed continued funding and roles of variotts organizations downtown.
The Commission requested that the City Manager prepare for consideration at the next Work Session a draft proposal for
ensuring that "Main Street" type functions (e.go, the Four Point Approach) continue in the City in order to continue its Main
Street designation.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
