Authorize payment to the poll workers of the March 4th Election. ($150.00 to Clerks, $120.00 to Inspectors and $100.00 to Deputies.) 3. Other business. ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: IF A PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL A DECISION MADE WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT THE ABOVE MEETING OR HEARING HE MAY NEED A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS INCLUDING THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE WHICH RECORD IS NOT PROVIDED BY THE CITY OF SANFORD. The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in a Special Meeting on Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at 12:00 noon in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida. Present: Absent: Mayor-Commissioner Brady Lessard Commissioner Whitey Eckstein Commissioner Velma H. Williams Interim City Manager Roger Dixon City Clerk Janet Dougherty Commissioner Art Woodruff Commissioner Randy Jones City Attorney William Colbert The Chairman called the meeting to order at 12:06 p.m. Review/accept/ratiO. the returns of the March 4~ 2003 Regular Election as submitted by the Canvassing Board, and declare the adoption/denial of the Charter Amendment by the voters. Recommended by the City Clerk and thc Interim City Manager. Commissioner Williams moved to ratify the returns oftbe March 4, 2003 Regular Election as submitted by the Canvassing Board (894 YES votes; 2,086 NO votes; for a total of 2,980), and declare the denial oftbe Charter Amendment by the voters. Seconded by Commissioner Eckstein and carried by vote of the Commission as follows: Mayor-Commissioner Lessard Aye Commissioner Eckstein Aye Commissioner Williams Aye Authorize payment to the poll workers of the March 4* election ($150.00 to Clet4ts~ $120.00 to Inspectors, and $100.00 to Deputies). Recommended by the City Clerk and the Interim City Manager, with the addition of $2.00 for mileage charges. Commissioner Williams moved to authorize payment to the poll workers oftbe March 4th election, as amended.
