Minutes o£ Regular Annual meeting o£ January 5th. 194~, next read and approved. Application next received £rom ~ephen Hine rot permit to sell beer and wines at 408 San£ord Ave., and same was rezerred ~o Chief of Police Williams for investigation. RepOrt o£ January Analysis of Milk being £urnished by all dairies operating in the City o~ San£ord, as prepared by Dr. L.A.$cribner's Laboratories at Orlando, next pre- sented, such report showing all such milk within the requirements of "Grade A [[ilk" except raw milk furnished by the Green Valley Dairy. On motion o£ Commissioner Bishop, seconded by Co-:missioner Hill and carried, the Clerk and City Attorney were next authorized access to safety deposit box No. 177 at zne ~nford Atlantic National Bank £or the purpose of sectoring two Water Plant ReVenue Certi£icates due February 1,1943, said certificates owned by the Insurance Fund as an investment. Reeuest next received from the local colored World War Veterans Post for the City to Contribute to their underprivileged children fund, the sum of $40.00 collected from $ilas Green's Einstrel for license to show in Sanford on January 22, 1943. Thereupon after careful consideration, Commissioner Hill moved that the City donate $20.OO to the Colored ~?orld W~r Veterans toward wel£are work for underprivileged colored children, and contribute the balance in amount of ~0.00 toward Sponsoring the WPA Colored Nursery Project during, the ensuing year. Seconded by Commissioner Lodge ann carried. Request next received from Nrs J E ~illiams for an extension of time in which to repair , or demolish az}d remove the partly burned dwelling house located on Lot 10 Block 14 Tier 5, E R Traf£ord's Hap, which was condemned by resolution No. 637, passed and adopted by the City Commission at the meeting of October 12, 1942, she having been granted until ~ ~ebruary 1,194~ to make some Thereupon on motion duly d a opted, the 1, 194~ to dispose o~' ti~is building. The Clerk next reported that the City Co:mission sitting as a Tax Ecuatization Board at the adjourned meetir~ o£ July 29, 1942, reduced the assessed valuation against Lots 6,7, and ~] Block 5 Tier 5 E R Traz'Iord's }.lap from .$6,130.00 to $4,000.00, whereas it was assessed on the 1942 ta3: roll at $6,OO0.~!0 in error. Thereupon in order to correct this error in assessment, Coam~.issioner Gut moved that the 1942 assessed valuation in amoant o~' i~6,000 . ~. placed on lots 6,~, and $ ~:lock 5 Tier 5 E.R,Tra±'ford's l.lap , be adjusted to $4,000.00. Seconded by Commissioner Bishop and carried.
