Minutes of adjourned regular meeting of Aoril 14, 1943, next read and aooroved. Report of May analysis of milk furnished by all dairies ooersting in Sanford as oreoared by Dr. L.R. Scribner's Laboratories at Orlando, next oresented, such reoort showing all such milk within the requirements of "Grade A Milk." Further consideration next given to the oroposed agreements between the ~lty of Sanford and the Navy Deoartment, and the Civil Aeronautics Administration covering the Airoort prooerty,'oresented at the adjourned meeting of May 22. Thereuoon after considerable discussion, Commissioner Bishop introduced Resolu- tion No. 656, and after being read in full by the Clerk, moved its passage and ion, Seconded by Commissioner Hill and carried by the followinE vote of Commission: Commissioner Higgins Aye Bishoo Aye Gut Aye Hill Aye Lodge Nays Said Resolution No. 656 being in words and figures as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 656. A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD. FLORIDA, AUTHOR- IZING THE EXECUTION BY THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF SAID CItY OF A WRITTEN AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN RELATION TO THE SANFORD MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. WHEREAS, the United States of America has submitted to the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida a prooosed written agreement between the City of Sanford, Florida , and the United States of America whereby the United States of America has proposed to convey to the City of Sanford, Florida, at the end of six months after the termination of the existing national emergencies declared by the President of the United States, or twenty years from the date of said orooosed agree- ment, whichever is sooner, all of its right, title and interes~ in and to the oroo- erty therein referred to as the airoort nucleus and additional r~Anway areas of ~he Sanford Municioal Airoort upon certain conditions end subject to certain reservations in said agreement stated, and orovlding for the ooeration ~hereof after said orooer- ty shall have been transferred by the United States of America to the City of Sanford Florida, whtch said prooosed agreement is in words and figures as follows, to-wit: AGREEMENT between the CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA and the UNITED SLATES OF AMERICA THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 24th. day of May,1943, by and between the City of Sanford,a municioal corooration of the State of Florida, hereinafter called the City, and the United States of America acting by and through the Secretary of the Navy, hereinafter called the Government; MINUTES City COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA,- ~a~ 22 at 19 327 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, session at the City Hall in the City of 5anford, Hey 22, 19~3. Meeting called to order by the Chairman who announced that the outdoes of the meeting was to confer with reoresentat~ves of the United States Naval Land Acquisition Deoartment and Civil Aeronautics Administration with resoect to entering into agreements concerning the Airoort orooe, ty now being used by the Navel Air Station at Sanford. Thereuoon Attorney W.D.Jones and Lieutenant Commander Miller of the Navy Deoart- ment, and Messrs Hunter and S~cily, reoresentatlves of the Civil Aeronautics Adminis- tration, next submitted a orooosed supplementary agreement between the City of Sanford and the United States of America, acting through the Navy Deoartment, where- by, at the end of six months after the termination of the existing National emergencies or twenty years from date of said agreement, whichever is sooner, the Government will convey to the City by quitclaim deed all its right~ title and interest in most of the atroort orooerty uoon certain conditions; also an agreement between the City of Sanford and the Civil Aernnautics Admlntstretion covering the ooerstion and maintenance of the airoort orooerty efter it has been conveyed to the City by the Government. Thereuoon after considerable discussion the matter was taken under advisement, ~ending further consideration by the entire Board.
