Consideration next given to a orooosltlon of B.F. Whitner Jr. offering to convey to the City Lots 2/11, 20/26 of Block 7 and Lots 1/~ of 3lock 9, Marvania Second Section, subject to all unpaid City taxes and bulkhead assessment liens, and State & County taxes for years 1940/1941 and 1943 in amount of $73.g9 for and in consideration of a ta~ credit in amount of $663.97, which will be soplie4 in payment of sll City taxes and bulkhead assessment l~n~s sgalnst 2k other lots in the sforeaid blocks 7 and 9 harvania Second Section, owne~ by Mr. Whitnero Thereuoon after considerable discussion as to the value of the aforesaid property and also its probable use for munlcioal purposes in connection wilh the proposed boat basin, the Mayor was authorized to accept ~r. Whitner's proposition, subject to ratlflcstion of the Commission at its next regular meeting. Request next recelved from the Sanford Naval Air Station to remove approximately 25,aa~ cubic yards of clay fr~m the City's pit for the purpose of stabilizing soil at the Base, offering to cay .03 per cubic yard for ~ame, Thereupon, on edvtce of Supt. Mou~hton that there is sufficient clay pit for this purpose, without deorlvlng the City of its future requirements, Gut moved that the City sell the Sanford Naval Air Station 25,aa~ cubic yards of a price of .03 per cubic yard, borrow pit measure.
