THAT ALL PUBLIC UTILITY LINES ON OR UNDER THAT PO ~ · . .... RIDA. AGREEING
C~BED TO BE IMPROVED BY THE STATE ROAD DEPARTMENT OF FLORIDA SHALL BE ADJUSTED
RTIO.. OF PARK AVENUE HEREIN DES_
WHERE NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENT, BY THE OWNERS OF SUCH
PUBLIC UTILITY LINES AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE.
WHEREAS, the State Road DeDartme~ of Florida will widen the pavement of that
portion of Park Avenue between Tenth Street on the north and Twenty-first Street
on the south from the Dresent width ~f twenty-four feet to a width of forty-four
feet, and
WHEREAS, there are certain Dublic utility lines now existing u~on or under the
aforesaid Dortion of Park Avenue to be improved by the State Road Department of
Florida and it may be necessary to adjust said utility lines in order that the
aforesaid improvement may be constructed and the State Road Department of Florida
has requested that the City of Sanford agree that said utility lines will be
so adjusted wherever necessary at the expense of the owners thereof:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida, that the City of Sanford' Florida, does hereby covenant and agree that
all nublic utility lines now on or under that portion of Park Avenue between Tenth
Street and Twenty-first Street to be imoroved by the State Road Deoartment of
Florida by the widening of the oavement thereof from twenty-four feet to forty-four feet,
shall be adjusted wherever necessary at the exoense of the owners thereof so as not
to interfere with the imorovement of saldpo~tlon of Park Avenue, maid adjustment
to be done at such time as said State Road Deoartment may direct.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution Shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adootion.

Commissioner Bishop , Chairman of the Freight Bate Committee, next advised
tm Board that Mr. W.T.Wolfe, traffic expert of Jacksonville, had agreed to make
the survey of local freight rates and present the existing rate structure to the
proper authorities for consideration of a reduction in such rates, with the assurance
of having lower rates established for Sanford, at a cost to the City not to exceed
$2,500.00 payable $200.00 in advance and the balance as the work progresses.
Thereupon Commissioner Gut moved that the City employ Mr. Wolfe to make the
survey of existing local freight rate structure at a fee not to exceed $2500.00 under
the terms and conditions of the agreement ae nresented by Commleeloner Bishop, the
$200.o0 retainer fee to be paid at thie time.
Beconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried.
