The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned Regular
Session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 8:00 o'clock P;M. October
12, 194~.
Present: Commissioner Edward Higgins, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairmen who announced that the purpose of the
meeting was to give further consideration to the matter of amending Ordinance No.
so as to grant one additional permit and license for the sale of liquors in the City,
and also to amend section 3 of Ordinance No. 256 so as to include the area at South French Av
Avenue and State Road No. 3 in which liquors can be sold.
Thereupon after considereOle discussion and on advice of the City Zoning Com-
mission that the area from Geneva Avenue south to the City limits on State Road No. 3
has been zoned as a business district on the tentative zoning map, City Attorney
Wilson was directea to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 312 so that one
permit and lic~se may be granted for the sale of alcoholic beverages, except beer
end wines, to each 1500 persons in the City, instead of each 1800 persons; and to
prepare an~ ordinance amending section 3 of ordinance no. 256 so as to include the
area from ~eneva Avenue south to the City lignite on State Road No. 3 in which alcoholic
beverages may be sold, for passage and adoption at the next meeting of the Commission.
There being no further business the meeting the adjourned until 7:30 o'clock
