The City Commission of the City of Oanford, Florida met in adjourned session at
the City Hell in the City of Osnford, Florida, at 1:30 o'clock P.M. October 18,19~.
Present: Commissioner Edward Higgins, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Application next received from Homer Little for permit to sell liquors, to be
consumed off premises, at such time there is a vacancy, or at such time the population
of Oanford increases to such sn extent so as to allow an additional permit and license
unHer the provisions of Ordinance No. 359, which limits one permit and license to each
15OO persons in the City.
Thereupon the aforesaid application was ordered filed until such time there is a
of permits that may be granted under the restrictions of Ordinance
vacancy in the n~mber

On advice of the
extensions of street
Clerk that the War Production Board has released materials for
lights, Commissioner Hill next moved that the Florida Power ~
Light Company be authorized and instructed to install a 100 C? overhead bracket light
at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Second Street, which was requested by Mr.
George Thurston several months ego.
Seconded by Oommissioner Lodge and carried.

In order to protect the City from any claim for damages that may result from an
accident in connection with the Teen-Age Club using the City Auditorium for s recreational
hall, Commissioner Bishop next moved that the City insure the City Hall building and
premises against public liability damages in amount of $5,000.00 for any one person
end $10,OOO.00 for any one accident at a cost of $52.10 per year, and that said insurance
be carried with A.F.Connelly & Sons, Inc.
Seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried.
There being no further business the meeting then adjourned until 1:30 o'clock
P.M. October
