On motion duly adooted, EnE~neer Earle was next authorized to obtain addltion- al bids for further considerat!on by the Commission. The Clerk next reoorted that the Public Liability and Prooerty Damage ~nsurance on the City's motor vehicles exolres on December ~5, 1944. Thereuoon on motion duly carried the Commission ordered the aforesaid insur- ance renewed with B.B.Crumley and C.M.Boyd & Comoany, the same comosnles now carrying such insurance. Consideration next given to the matter of insuring the City's ~assenger vehicles against collision damages. Thereupon after considerable discuss~on, and in v~ew of the fact that three of the ~assen~er cars have been ~nvolved ~n accidents during the $~st year, as e result o~ wh~ck there were consldersble e~enses for read%rs, Commiss~oner ?lsho~ moved that the ~essenger vehicles an~ motorcycle be insured s~lnst co~llsion damages less the $50.00 deductible provisions, and that said Insurance be carried thru C.M.Boyd & Comoany at a cost o~ $179.00 for annual oremium. On motion of Commissioner Bishop, seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried, the Clerk and City Attorney were next authrized access to the safey deoosIt bo~ at toe Sanford Atlantic National Bank for the ouroose of storing for safekeeoing the United States Treasury Bonds recently ourchased as investment for the Public Projects Fund and Insurance Fund Aoollcatlon next received from the Sanford Atlantic National Bank and the Florida State Bank of San~'ord to be designated as ~enoeltorles of City of Sanford funds during the year 19a5, agreeing to State,County or Munlcioal bonds, to be City, to protect said funds. Thereuoon Commissioner Gut furn lsh satisfactory security in Federal, aouroved as to amount and v~lidlty by the moved that the Senford Atlantic National Bank and the Florida State Bank of Sanford be designated as deoosltories of City of Sanford funds during the year 1945. Seconded by Commissioner Bishoo and carried. On motion of Commissioner Bishoo, ,econded by Commissioner Lodge and carried, the Commission next authorized the emoloyment of Miss Emma Temole as clerk in the Water Deoartment at a salary of $125.00 per month to fill the vacancy created by resignation of Mrs Mary L.Jones. Commissioner Bishoo next introduced Resolution No. 684 and after befng read in full by the Clerk,moved its 9assage and adootion . Seconded by Commissioner Gut and carried by the following vote of the Commission: Commissioner H1~glns Aye " Bishoo Aye " Gut Aye " Lodge Aye said Resolution No. 684 being in words and f~gures as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITYO ~ SANFORD , FLORIDA, CANCELING SIDEWALK LIEN CERTIFICATE NO. 55 OF JANUARY 9,191~, AGAINST LOT 15 OF BLOCK 5 OF TIER 2 OF E.R.T?AFFORD'S MAP O~ SANFORD. WHEREAS, there aoDears of record in Lien Book K, Page 26~, of the oublic records of Orange County , Florida , sidewalk lien certificate No. 55 dated January 9,1913, for the sum of $84.92 in favor of the City of Sanford for t~e construction Of a sidewalk along the north side of Fourth Street in said City, abutting Lot 15 Block 5, Tier 2, according to E.B.Trafford's Mac of Sanford, but the City of Sanford does not aooesr to have any record of said certificate or lien and the City Commission deems it right and or~oer to cancel said certificate and lien in order tfmt the records may be cleared thereof as against the above described prOoerty. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, that the aforesaid sidewalk lien and recorded in Llen Book K, cage 25~, of Florida, and against said lot 15 Block 5 , certificate No. 55 dated January 9,1913, the oubllc records of Orange County, Tier 2 according to E.P.Trafford's Mac of Ssnford be and the same is hereby canceled an~ released and the clerk of the Circuit Court of Semlnole County, Florida, is dlrected to enter thls cancellation and release of record.
