The City Commission of the City of Sanford Tlorida, met ~n adjourned
regular session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 8:00 o'clock
P.M, Dece,ger lQ, 1944, for the purooee of a Public Hearing to consider the orooosed
Zoning Ordinance and MaD for the City of Sanford, Florida.

Meeting called ~o order by the Chairman who then oroceeded to exnlain the
regulations, res~rictions and boundaries contained in th* nrooosed Zonlng Ordinance and
Mac to tho~e aooearing at this Public Hearing, as follows:

After considerable discussion, Mr J.D.Corde!l requested that the residential
section bounded by French Ave. on the west, Sanford Ave. on the east, Genev~ Ave. on
the south and Twenty-fourth Place on t~ north, be changed from a ~-1Dlstr%ct to
a R-1 A District, stat~n~ thst he lives at 2529 Elm Ave., whlch t~ wtthln thgs
district, and that the other home owners in thls sectlon would also like to h~ve %t zoned
under the restrictions of toe orooosed R-1 A District.
Thereuoon after careful conslderation, end.on motlon duly carried, the CommS. ss~on
ordered ~he aforesaid residential dlstrlct changed from a R-1 D~st~Ict to a R-1 A
District on the Zoning MaD.
Mr . 0 E Pennlngton ~ext requested that Lot ? Block 1~, Tier $, ? R Trafford's
Fao, be zoned a~ a C-1 Commercial (Retail) Dlstrlct, but In v~ew of the fact that
this oro~erty is in a resldentlal section, which has been zoned a~ a R-! District,
the aforesaid request could not be granted.
There being no further comolatnts or object,one registered as
restrictions ~nd boun~srles, or otherwise, contalned in t~e orooosed
to t~e regulations
