The City Commission of the City of $~nford, Florida,met in Special Called session
ab the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at ll:30 o'clock A EX ~arch 22, 1947.
Present: Commissioner H.J~mes Gut, ~ayor.

Neetlng called to order by the Chairman who announced that the meeting had been
called to consider a request of the Florida Power & Light Company for the City to release
its application to the War Aseets Administration for the electrical distribution system
at the Sanford Naval Air Station to b e transferred to the City as part of the airport
property; st~tlng that it is the desire of the Florida Power & Light Company to pur-
chase this equipment from the War Assets Administrztion and to maintain and operate it
as part of their distribution system.
Thereupon after careful consideration it w~s the opinion of the Commission thP~t
it would be for the best interest of the City to acquire this electricsl distribution
system, and then enter into an agreement with the Florida Power & Light Company to main-
rain and operate it, and on motion duly carried, the aforesaid request w~s denied.
There belng no further business the meeting adjourned.
