The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 1:30 o'clock P.M. April 5, 1948.

Neeting c~lled to order by the Chairman.
Communication next received from Tec-Bilt Homes, Inc,
plate the construction of approximately twenty homes at the
tion of a minimum of six homes on Escambla Drive within the
desiring to obtain an option for one hundred twenty days to
twenty-three lots on Escambis Drive:
Lots 6 to 19 inclusive on the south side of Escambia Drive, in Block 19
San Lanta Second Section.
Lots 30 to 38 inclusive on the north side of Escambia Drive, in Block 15
San Lanta Second Section.
agreeing to pay the City of Sanford, upon acceptance of the aI'oresaid option,
the sum of $1,800.O0 for nine lots, with the balance of the fourteen lots to be
released to Tec-Bllt Inc. as requested during the life of the option, payment in
full to ~e made at the price of $2OO.O0 per lot as additional lots are released
and title transferred to Tec-Bllt Inc.; and requesting that the City continue the
policy of deeding free of cost a city-owned lot to each veteran who buys or builds
a home on Escambia Drive, and that if a veter~n buys from Tec-Bilt Inc. a home
erected on any of the lots purchesed under the above plan, that the City transfer
title of another unimproved lot to Tec-Bilt Inc. in lieu of the lot previously
purchased from the City and upon which the house was constructed.
Thereupon after considerable discussion, Cor~issloner Chase moved the approval
of the proposal as submitted by Tec-Bllt HomesInc., subject to the approval of
City Attorney ~ilson.
Seconded by Commissioner Carraway 8nd carried.
Request next received from the Shrine Club for the City to waive the license
fee of $50.00 for the Einstrel Show which they are sponsoring rot the benefit of
the High School Band.
Thereupon after considerable discussion, Commissioner Carraway moved that the
City not waive the license fee, but make a donation of $50.00 to the High School
Band for the purchase of new uniforms.
Seconded by Commissioner Chase and carried.
On motion of Commissioner Carraway, seconded by Commissioner Lesher and carried,
the Commission next approved the purchase of 27 Refunding Series A Bonds from A.N.
Kidder & Co,,party, New York City at a price of $492.50 each.
Request next received from W.J.King's Plumbing Shop for ~ reduction in his
assessed v~luation for the year 194~, due to the fact that in making his return he
included his truck at a value of $800.00 in listing his equipment.
Upon the advice of the Tax Assessor that this property had been assessed at
75% of its value, Commissioner Carraway moved that the assessed valuation for
advising that they contem-
