Attorney Wilson next suCmitted t~e proposed lease session at 1948 . a~reement with the West Virginia Training School Inc. for consideration by the Commission. Thereupon after considerable discussion and several changes, instructed to prepare the lease in full and %o re-submit it tc Attorney Wilson was the Commission. The City Manager next reported on a conference he had with D:r Mr. McLsin of the Civil Aeronautics Administration, for an airport manager. Aoolications of Walter J. Seconded by Commissioner Carraway and carried. Proposal of Bohannon & Fenn of Orlando to building for operating an aviation repair shop, Matter taken under advisement. Thereupon after considerable discussion, Commissioner Chase moved that action deferred on the employment of an airport manager; that Nr. W.O.Stansell, Superintendent th~ airport be empowered to supervise all operations and that the City ~anager employ lease certain facilities in the hangar was next suCmitted for consideration. Application of Showalter Corporation of Winter Park to operate a flight school at the airport and advising that t~ey would need office space, classroom and a building for housing out-of-town students, was next sumitted for consideration. Matter.taken under advisement. On motion of Commissioner Carraway, seco~ ed by Commissioner Krider and carried, the City ~anager was authorized to submit a suoplemental application to Civil Aeronautics Administration for balance of personal property at the airport, under the provisions of Public Law 289. Consideration w~s next given to the reduest of the Natlonad Exhibition Company, that they should not be held resoonsible for damages to the personal prooerty caused by fire or other elements. Thereupon Commissioner Krider moved that Section 9, of the Agreement for lease dated February 6, 1948, bet~'een City of 5anford, Florida, and National Exhibition Company of New York City, requiring the Lessee to furnish surety bond in amount of $5,000.00 to protect the Lessor for any damages to personal property covered under the agreement, that is the intent of the Commission that the Lessee shall not be held responsible for any damages to personal property that is caused by fire or other elements.
