The City Commission of the City of $~nford, Florids, met in adjourned
session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 2:00 o'clock p i~
August ll, 1948, to sit as a Tax Equalization Board.
Present: Commissioner Lea R. Lesher, Acting I~,Iayor.

City Attorney Fred R Wilson
City 5~anager & Clerk }{.N. Ssyer
Deputy City Clerk Gordon L. Brsdley.
Absent: Commissioner R.A. Williams, 5~ayor.
Neetlng called to order by the Chairman.
The Commission then proceeded to sit as a Tax EGualization Board to
complaints or objections filed with the City Clerk as to assessed valuations on the
19~8 Tax Roll as prepared by the City Tax Assessor.
There being no furtherlcomplalnts or objections registered, the Commission?
then adjourned as an Equalization Board until 2:00 o'clock P.~. August 12, 19~8, and
thereupon proceeded to handle any other buslness which may come before it.
Consideration was next given to the advisability of securing an assistant
to the City Attorney.
Thereupon Commissioner Carraway moved that A.Edwin Shinholser be employed
immediately as an assistant to City Attorney Wilson.
Seconded by Commissioner Krider and carried.
There being no further business the meeting then adjourned.
