Applicat!on next received from Howard FaV!lle for the posit~on of Bu!lding, Electr!oal
and Plumbing Inspector, on a part time basis, to flll ~acancy created by res!gnat!on of
G. L. Duncan, effective as of November 1,
Thereupon after careful cons!derat!on,- Commissioner Carraway moved the acceptance of
application of Howard Faville as Bu!ld!ng, E~ectrfcal and Plumb!ng Inspector, on a part t!me
bas!s, at a salary of $1,5OO.O0 per year, plus reasonable amount for m!leage on h!s personal
automob!le for transportat!on.
Seconded by Comm!ss!oner Er!der and cart!ed.
The Clerk next adv!sed of an old unpaid State & County Tax Cert!f!cate, sale of July
192~, covering taxes for year 1927 aga!nst Lots ?, 6, 9 and 10 of Block 4, of T!er 1, E. R.
Traffords Map, wh!ch ia held by M. F. Rob!nson Estate, and that the total cost to redeem same,
!nclud!ng !nterest to date, amount to $1,3OO.E1. Also, adv!s!ng that L. p. Boyle, Attorney
for Winn & Lovett Grocery Co~pany, had exam!ned the abstract and t!tle to the aforesa!d property
and !s ready to consummate the purchase at pr!ce of $14, O00.OO, upon redempt!on of th!s tax
certificate by the C!ty.
Thereupon Commissioner Carraway moved that the Clerk be authorized to redeem the afore-
said State & County Tax Certificate for the sum of $1,3OO.61.

Comm!as!oner Carraway next moved that the Mayor and Clerk be author!zed to execute the
Deed of Conveyance of the aforesaid property to Wlnn & Lovett Grocery Company for the sum of
$14,000.00
