The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Mlorida met in SPECIAL SESSION
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 12:00 o'clock Noon December 8, 194~
for the purpose of canvassing the election returns of the General Municipal Election held
December ?, 19~.

Commissioner Robert A Williams, Mayor.

Meeting called to order Oy the Chairman.
Thereupon the Commission proceeded to canvass the returns of the General Municipal
Election held on December 7, 1948, for the purpose of electing two City Commissioners
for terms of three years each, commencing on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in
January 1949, as made by the Clerk and Inspectors of said election; said returns being
as follows:
FOR CITY COMMISSIONER - GROUP No. 1
For F.A. Dyeon~ 279 Votes
For Roy Holler 17 votes
For Henry Wltte Jr. 1 vote
For B.F.Ganas 8 votes
For E F Lane i vote
For W H Stemper i vote

For W H Stemper 335 votes
For J E Howland 2 votes
Total Votes Cast 347
Thereupon Commissioner Krlder moved that the returns of the Clerk and Inspectors of
the General Municipal Election held December 7, 194S be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Carraway and carried.
Thereupon F.A. Dyson and W.H.Stemper were certified as the regularly elected City
Commissioners of the City of Sanford, Florida, for three years each, commencing with the
first Tuesday after the first Monday in January 1949.
On motion duly adopted payment at the rate of 1.OO per hour to each of the Inspectors
and Clerk of the General llunicipal Election held on December 7, 1948 was next authorized.
There being no further busings the meeting then adjourned.
