The Clerk then proceeded to complete the reading of Ordinance No. 442. Thereupon Commissioner Mrider moved that the rules be waived and said ~2 be placed on its final passage and adoption. Seconded by Commissioner Chase and carrled. Seconded by Commissioner Chase and carried. On motion of Co~nissioner Chase, seconded by Co~amlssioner Krider and carried, the Co~mnission next approved the payment of 10¢ per mile for the approximately 700 miles driven by Building Inspector Faville during the months of November and December 1948. On motion of Commissioner Krider, seconded by Commissioner Chase and carried, the commission next authorized a refund of the 1948-19h9 tax in amount of $25.O0to New Ins. The Lessor agrees to furnlsh unto the Lessee the necessary wire for the purpose and the Lessee agrees to erect a hog wire and three-strand barb wire fence with posts to be furnished by the Lessee spaced not more than fifteen feet (15') spans around the outer boundary of the property h~reby leased and let, except the portion enclosed by a chain link fence, said fence to be erected within ninety days after uellvery of the wire by the Lessor. The Lessee also agrees to construct the same type fence as that above required to be erected by it around the citrust groves of the Lessor that are located on t~e property hereOy leased and let, the Lessor to furnish the wire and the Lessee to furnish the posts and said fence to be erected within ninety days after delivery of the wire by the Lessor. The Lessee shall also at its own expense construct cattle guards and/or gates across any roadways leading into the grazing area, ~s the Lessor may require. The Lessee shall maintain all of the aforesaid fences including said chain link fence in good condition at its own expense during the term of this lease, subject to inspectinn ~d approval by the Lessor. All of the fences to be erected 'by the Lessee as above orovided shall be allo~,,ed to remain on said property at the end of the term hereof or earlier termination of this lease. Cunsiaeration was next ~iven to the need for additional traffic lights on Park Avenue, due to the increase of traffic conditions along said street. Thereupon Chief of Police R.G. Williams, was instructed to make a survey of the type of lights needed and to present to the Commission at the next meetlrg the cost of installing lights at the intersections of Park Ave. with Second Street and N%nth Street.
