Minutes of Special meeting August 22nd. and last regular meeting read and approved. Mr. Joe D. Chittenden,came before the ~ommission representing the Sanford Real Estate Board and requested that the City ~ enact au Ordinance fixing the License on Real Estate Agents and Brokers at $100.00 per year and Real Estate Salesmen at $25.00 per year. On motion duly seconded and adopted the clerk was instructed to w~ite the city attorney to prepare~said ordinance to take effect October 1st 1925. Petition from property owners protest~e~ against Seabord 0il Company installin~ two ~.0,000 gallon tanks above ground in the vicinity of Elm Us. and Commercial St. was read and taken under advisement. Plat cT Crystal Lake Club was presented and refer~d back for certain changes in street openings etc. Communication from , superintendent of street work, James Moughton recommending purchase of certain equipment for the city work,and zoning the sam~, was read and refer~d to the City Manager with authority to purchase according to the requirement of the city. The Fire Chief came before the ~ommission recommending the purchase of a Staam Combination Pumper Fire Engine and exchange the present old engine in the trade and the City Manager~ was authorized to make the order and ex~cute Contract on part of the city. The City Clerk was authorized to cancel 1924 personal taxes against ~uby ~iplin in the amount of ~6.30,same appearing to have been a double assessment. Report from Engineer Jas. ~. Craig on new extentions of Water Works System and rendered bill for same , was read and approved for payment. Petitd~n requesting the enactment of an ordinance limiting par~ing of cars on First Street from Sanford Avenue to Oak ~venue was read and approvedand the City Attorney instructed to prepare same at once. Communication from Retail Credit Men's Association relative to moving and transfers of household goods was read and refered to City Attorney for investigation and advice. Commissioner S.0. Chase introduced the following SideWalk resolutions number 240A 240B 240C 240D ~40 E requiring the construction of sidewalks on Magnolia Avenue and moved that s~ne be adopted. Said motion being duly seconded, prevailed by the unanimous vbteof the City Commission. Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission of the City of ~anford Florida had unanimously passed an adopted resolution number 240-A 240-B 240-0 240-D ~40-E. Present: ~Comissioners Forrest Lake (~ayor) S 0 Chase Petition v~s presented requesting that City LicenSe for the proposed increase in license fee and C J Marshall. ~eal Estate Agents or Brokers be increased from $15.00 to $100.00 and Salesmen from $5.00 to $25.00, and that each be required to give bond. Petition was presented objecting to any increase in the above mentioned City Lic ens e. After due consideration the following Committee was appointed to meet with the Mayor at 10 A.M.
