and asking that his nerve be ;~lmced on ballot was read and filed.
~r A P Connelly c~ne before the Com~ssion asking that the City appropriate the s~n of
$250.00 to the Shrine Ceremonial to be held in the City on October 29th.
On motion duly seconded and passed, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrant for ssm~e
and charge to contingent fund.
Communication from property o~rners on Park Ave. Re: objectionable Sign Board was read
and the Clerk instructed to write the owner of sign board to have same removed.
Co~uunication from City Plmnning Commission relative to the following:
(1) Re: Seminole Boulevard, remd and filed.
(2) Re: Driveway aro~nd the entire City read ~nd referred to ~r S 0 Chase as a Committee to
confer with the County Commissioners relative to obtain in~ right-of-way as indicated.
(3) Re: Ordinance requesting extension of Gms and ~ater l.~ins in new districts. Same was
referred to City Attorney to draw ordinance.
(4) Re: Industrial district between Cedar Ave and alley next East to Second St..
dation was %oproved.
Communication from Sanford Yacht Club Re: improvements to present Yacht Basin and Hun-
icipal Pier was read and referred to C~i Eanager and City Planning Board.
Co~unication from Sanford Reml Estate Board Re:advising Committee was read and referred
to City Planning Bomrd.
On motion duly adopted, the City ~anager was authorized to purchase on Austin Notor Street
Sweeper for the S~n of $6,650.00 as per bid presented at lamt meeting.
Commission C J Earshall introduced Ordinance ~106 entitled:
"Ali ORDI~HCE II~OSING AN OCCUPATIONAL TAX ON SIGN PAINTERS.
and moved that sazne be adopted. Smid ordinance was placed ~oon its first reading and read in
full.
Thereupon Commissioner Narshall moved that the rules be waived and said ordinance be
placed upon its second reading and final passage, which motion was duly seconded/
The Question was then put on a wiver of the rules and the roll was called upon a waiver of
the rules. Those voting in favor of the waiver of the rules were:
Commissioners Forrest Lake and C J Narshall ( Commissioner S 0 Chase, mbsent.)
Thereupon the question recurred upon the motion to place said ordinance upon its second
reading and final passage, which motion prevailed by the unanimous vote of the City Co~nission.

Upon the reading of said ordinance the roll was called upon the question of the adoption of

and moved that same be adopted. Said motion being duly seconded, prevailed by the unanimou~
vote of the City Commission. Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that
the City 0o:mmission had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolution ~ 243
entitled:
"A resolution providing for the paving re-paving, hard surfacing and re-hard surfacing
of French Ave. from Geneva Street to south line of Lot 16, Blk. 7, Osceola Drive from
French Ave. to E1 Capitan Drive; San~a Barbara Drive from French Ave. to E1 Capitan Drive,
Sarita Street from Feench Ave. to west line of Lot 16, Block ll, Briarclif£e Street from
Osceola Drive to ~est line of Lot lC, Block ll, Hiawatha Avenue fro~'~ Osceola Drive to
South line of Lot S, Block 18, Iriquois Ave. from Osceola Drive to South line of Lot 21,
Block I S, Mohawk Ave, from Osceola Drive to ~anta Barbara Drive, El. Portal Avenue from
Osceola Drive to Santa Barbara drive, a width of 2~ feet.
Upon motion duly adopted the City Engineer was instructed to proceed with preliminary
work on paving of Fifth Street from ~yrtle Ave. to Holly Ave., and on Fourth Street from
~yrtle Ave to ,Cedar Ave., and Cedar Ave. from Third Street to Fourth Street.
The Hutton Construction Company was advised that
from present location on or before January 1st, 1926,

they must move their asphalt plant
and the City Engineer to supervise
later.
City Engineer presented Plat of "1st Addition to Lockhart's Subdivision, and same
was approved, and the Clerk instructed to place same in the City Plat book.
On motion duly adopted the City L~oager was authorized to install the following lights:
Four on Oak Avenue and High Street
Two on Thirteenth Street at Auto C~np.
On motion duly passed the City ~anager was authorized to proceed with the construction
of pavilion on the ~,~un~c~pal pier as per plans submitted by Architect ~,~oughton.
~e City Clerk was authorized to cancel the 192~ personal taxes against the following
persons:

proceed at once to take steps for the opening o£ Commercial Street west from Oak Ave.
and Seminole Boulevard west from Park Avenue.
