City Manager, W B Williams, City Engineer, Fred T Willi~ns,. Minutes of last regular meeting read ~nd approved. Petition from property owners asking that Chapman Ave. from Third Street south to Fourth Street be paved, was read and on motion duly passed the City Engineer was authorized to pro- ceed with preliminary work. Food Inspector, Jesse H Hamilton tendered his r~signation to take effect January l, 1926 and requesting that an allowance be made him for use of his car on City Work for the period from J~nuary l, 1925 to December 31, 1925. On motiou duly passed resignation was accepted, and the Clerk authorized to draw a warrant in the Communication was read from Mr T L Dumas, crossings. On motion same was referred to the sum of $250.00 in full for said use of car. Supt. of A.C.L. Ry. Co. Re: certain street City M~nager. Commissioner C J Marshall introduced Resolution ~251, entitled. "A Resolution requiring the widening , grading and paving of Mellonville Ave. from Franklin Street south to Geneva Street. and Geneva Street from French Ave. to Mel- lonville Ave. to a width of 24 feet instead of 18 feet as heretofore authorized." and moved that same be adopted. Thereupon said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading of said resolution the question was put upon the adoption of same. Those voting in favor of the adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners Forrest Lake S 0 Chase and C J Marshall. Those voting against the passage and adoption of s~ d resolution were Commissioners: None. Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission of the City of S~nford, Florida had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolution ~251, entitled: "A Resolution requiring the widening , grading and paving of Mellon~ille Ave. from Franklin Street south to Geneva Street and Geneva ~Street from French Ave. to Mellonville Ave. to a width of 24 feet instead of 16 feet as heretofore authorized." Thereupon Commissioner Marshall introduced Resolution ~252, entitled: "A Resolution rescinding , vacating , anulling and setting aside Resolutions ~233 and 235~ and moved that same be adopted. Thereupon said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading of said resolution, the question was put upon the adoption of same. Those voting in favor of the adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners Forrest Lake, S O Chase and C J Marshall. Those voting against the adoption of said resolution were: Commissioner none. Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolution ~252, entitled: "A Resolution rescinding, vacating, anulling and setting aside resolutions ~233 and 235." The City Commission then proceeded as an Equalizing Board to hear any complaints or objections as to the proposed paving of the following streets: Oak Ave. from High Street south to Highland Street, 24 feet. wide. Park Ave. from Geneva Street to a point 22 ft. south of the north line of Lot 22 Pine Hts. 24 feet wide. Pecan Ave. from ~nird Street to ?eriCh Street, 24 feet wide. Tenth Street from Pecan Ave. to Mulberry Ave. 24 feet. wide. Olive Ave. from Tenth St. to Goldsboro St. 24 feet wide. The Sanford Electric Company of Sanford, Fla. submitted bid on White Way fixtures at $46.20 per unit F.O.B. cars or boat Sanford. Peninsular Electric Co. of Sanford, Fla. submitted bid on 302 white-way standards and globes complete and installed ~ $43,000.00 On motion these bids were referred to the City Manager for consideration. Attorney G.W.Spencer Jr. came before the Commission requesting the City to quit-claim the followin~ described lands: to the Trustees of the New ~'-~ount Calvary Baptist Church, Beg. 96 ft. west of the S E Cot of Lot 4 Robinson Survey run N. ll7 ft. E. 50 ft. S. ll? ft W. 50 ft. to Beg. To Samuel Edward Muse & Wife, the following: Beg. 146 ft. W. of S E Cot of Lot 4 Robinson Survey, run N. ll7 ft. E. 50 ft. S. ll7 ft. W. 50 ft. to Beg. It appearing that this step is necessary to clear title on these lands. On motion duly adopted the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute the deeds as above. described.
