The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Called Session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 5:00 o'clock P. M. December 3, 1954. Commissioner Krider next moved its passage and adoption. vote of the Commission: introduced Resolution No. 838, and after being read in full, Seconded by Commissioner Cordell and carried by the following Commissioner Higginbotham Aye " Cordell Aye " Kadet Aye " Krlder Aye " Stemper Aye Said Resolution No. 838 being in words and figures as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING SALE OF $275,000.00 WATER AND SEWER REVENUE CERTIFICATES, DATED NOVEMBER l, 1955. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C05~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BANFORD, FLORIDA, that the $275,000.00 ~ater and Sewer Revenue Certificates, dated November 1, 1954, heretofore autkorized to be issued by ordinance duly adopted on November 3, 1954, shall be sold at public sale and that the proper officials of the City be, and they are hereby, authorized to p~ lish a notice of The s~,le of said bonds at the tlmea and in the manner required by law. Scott signified their aporoval of the action the Commission in the adoption of the foregoing resolution. On motSon of Commissioner Stamper, seconded by Commissioner Krider and carried, the City Clerk and Gordon P. Blitch, Auditor, were ne×t authorized access to safety deposit box No. 177 a~ the Sanford Atlantic N~tional Bank for the purpose of verifying the contents. Mr. Densmore, Supt. for Bumby & Stimpson, Inc., contractors installing the interceptor sewer line on Second Street, next apoeared with reference to delaying or by-passing the business section until after the Xmas Holidays. The City Manager then reported that the merchants on Second Street had been contacted relative to the chan~e in plans to delay the project and that ~hey were in favor of con~inuing construction thru the holidays in order ~o complete the work as soon as possible. After considerable discussion and in v~ew of the loss of ~ime and additional expense tha~ would be involved in delaying the work, the City Manager was directed to contac~ the Re,ail Merchants Association for their recommendations on continuing the cons~ruction of the intercepto~ line tn the business section. On recommendation of the C~y Manager, and on motion of Commissioner Stemper, seco~ed by Commissioner Cordell and carried, Edgar Grifflthwas next appointed Superintendent of the Refuse Department and Jas L.
