The City Commission of the City of Banfo~, Florlde, met in Special Called session at
the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. February 21, 1955.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman who announced that the purpose of the meetirg
was to confer with Engineer Angae relative to progress report and status of contracts of the
water and sewer projects, and to transact any other business thatmay come before the Board at
this time.
Thereupon Commissioner Hlgginbotham moved the waiver of the requirements of "Notice
of Special Meeting". Seconded by Commissioner Ratigan and carried unanimously.
Engineer Angas then submitted financial report and status on Contracts No. i thru
8, which showed an uncommitted balance of $55,180.65 in the ConstrUction Fund. He then advised
that the Cloud Branch sewer and the down-town area, estimated at $33,000.00 each, and the de-
ferred portion of Contract No. 8, Pump Branch Drainage, in sum of $25,~17.25, were~not included
in the committed funds, which would leave a deficit of $36,236.60.
The Commission then proceeded into a lengthy discussioh concerning the elimination of
certain phases of the sewer imorovements in order to bring the overall cost within the amount
of funds that will be available to complete the program.
Thereupon after careful consideration, and on motion of Comnissioner Ratigan, seconded
by Commissioner Krider and carried, the Commission authorized the reconstruction of Cloud Branc
estimated cost of $33,000.00, and the down-town sewers at estimated cost of $33,000.00;

Re-laying 18-inch sewer in. alley between Banford and Cyoress
Avenues and 7th and 9th Streets
(b) Sewer between 3rd and 4th Streets west of Pomegranite Ave.
(c) Sewer on Bay Avenue north of 25th Street.
(d) Sewer on Willow Avenue south of 25th Street.
(e) Sewer on W. side of Sanfo~ Avenue eouth of 25th Street.
(f) Sewer on E. side of Palmetto Avenue south of 25th Street.

On motion of Commissioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commissioner Scott and carrY, ed,
Engineer Angas was next authorized to advertise for bids for reconstructing the ~own-town sewers.
0~ ~otlon of Commissioner NigEinbotham, seconded by Commissioner Ratlgan and carried,
the Commission next authorized a qu~t-claim deed from City to Gec~ge W. Morgan and Lester Tharp
on Lots l~, 15 and 16 of Block 1, Palm Terrace, for the ourpose of clearing title, which was
vested in the City at one time thru foreclosure of tax liens.
On motion of Commissioner Higgl~botham, seconded by Com~,'issloner Ratigan and carried,
the Commission authorized a quit-claim deed from City to Vlvian B. Alexander of Lot 2 of Block
10, of Bel Air, for the purpose of releasing reverter clause in original deed from the City.
All conditions recited in said original deed having been met by the grantees.
