The City Commission of t ~ City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Called Session at
the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. November 7, 1955.

Meetlng cai]ed to order by the Chairman who announced thet the ourpose of the meeting
wes to consider approvsI of plet of Grove Menors, and the recommend~tlon of the Zoning and
Planning Board to create a new Zoning District.
A. C. Doudney, Land Surveyor, then submitted proposed plat of Grove Manors, and after
discussion and study of same, Commissioner Krider moved thor it be approved and accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Rstigan and carried.
Conslderntlon ne×t given to recommendation of the Zoning and Plann]rg Board t~hat
Section 6 of the Zonlrt~; Ordln~,nce be smended by ~dd~ng thereto ~ new distrlct to be designsted
ss "R-l-AB", requiring a minimum ground floor ~re~ of 1,~00 squsre feet for a one-story dwellingi
Thereupon ~fter d~scussion and a review of t~ Zoning Map, Commissioner Hig~nbotham
moved the, t the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinance to ~mend Section 6 of the
Zoning Ordlrmce in accordance with the recommendstioa of the Zonin~ and Planning Board. SecondedJ
by Commissioner Rstigsn and carried.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
