The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Work Session on Monday, May 8, 2006, at 4
in the Railroad Depot Room, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

Mayor Kuhn called the Work Session to order at 4:05 PM.
Presentation of City Financial Report - 2nd Quarter, FY 05-06. [Commission Memo 06-262)
Presentation by SPPRE (Stainback Public/Private Real Estate) regarding development processes.
Discussion re: the Sanford Manufactured Gas Plant cleanup and negotiations with Christian Prison Ministries, Inc.

Discussion re: a request from the City of Winter Springs to support a proposed amendment to the Seminole County
Charter Committee. [Commission Memo 06-274]
There was a consensus of the Commission that a letter of support be prepared for the Mayor's signature.
5) Discussion re: a policy regarding Use of City Staff.
7) Presentation by Jeff Dean re: Kids House of Seminole, Inc.
6) Commissioner Jack Bridges re: Helen Stairs Theatre, Children's Village and Kids' House.
Commissioner Bridges asked the Commission to consider providing the Helen Stairs Theatre with $25,000 to
be funded in next year's budget. The Commission agreed that the Community Redevelopment Agency should be encouraged
to split the cost 50/50 (with the City) since it receives the economic impact and taxes.

9.E. Denied Claims Review procedure. The Commission requested that written guidelines be provided and the
procedure brought back for further consideration.
