L} 83 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 11:30 o'clock A. met in Special Present: M. on March 11, Acting Mayor-Commissioner Edwin O. Keith Commissioner Milton E. Smith Commissioner Edward A. Yancey Commissioner David T. Farr City Attorney William L. Colbert City Manager W. E Knowles City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr. Session in the 1983. Absent: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore The meeting was called to order by the Chairman. The City Attorney reported that the condemnation suit of the City of Sanford vs: Forrie, Jr., et al to obtain two parcels of property at Seminole Boulevard and Frank J. Mangoustine Avenue for expansion of the sewer treatment plant will go to trial Monday, March 14, 1983, and that Judge McGregor has ruled that the appraisers can consider sales of comparable properties which occurred after the condemnation proceedings were begun in 1981. Also, that Mr. Gaylord, Attorney for the owner of the approximately 2.104 acre parcel #2, has proposed a settlement in amount of $60,000.00, and recommended acceptance of same. Commissioner Smith moved to authorize settlement amount of $60,000.00, for parcel #2, known as the Forrie parcel, and to authorize payment of same, after consideration of the deposit and attorney fees. Seconded by Commissioner Yancey and carried. Commissioner Keith reported that the fence around a portion of the city park at Ninth Street and Park Avenue, leased to All Souls Church, has been completed without gates or other openings for access by the public. The City Manager reported he has talked with Father Ennis, and there will be an opening at the corner. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. MAYOR ATTEST:
