The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, who announced the purpose of the
meeting was to discuss future needs for wastewater treatment.
Cal Conklin and Mike Deverall, from the firm of Conklin, Porter & Holmes -
Engineers, Inc., and Mack LaZenby, Consultant Engineer, met with the City Commission to
discuss consideration of the wasteload allocation for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The City Manager presented preliminary figures for costs for land spreading.
Commissioner Farr moved to authorize to file applications with Alex Senkavich for
a specific site and alternate sites, and to have the state change the standards and set the
requirements for same. Seconded by Commissioner Smith and carried.
The City Attorney submitted expenses on the condemnation of the
Evergreen/Everglades parcel for expansion of the sewer treatment plant, as follows:

and recommended filing approval with the Courts so that further the matter would
not be required.
Commissioner Farr moved to authorize the City Attorney to accept same and to file
the proper agreement with the court and to pay the costs and the defense attorney as
submitted. Seconded by Commissioner Keith and carried.
Commissioner Keith moved to authorize a public hearing to be held on June 13, 1983
to consider the issuance of First Mortgage Revenue Bonds Series 1983, to finance the Howell
Place of Sanford, Ltd. project proposed to be constructed North of Airport Boulevard and
West of U. S. Highway 17-92. Seconded by Commissioner Yancey and carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
