Present: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore Commissioner Edward A. Yancey Commissioner David T. Farr Commissioner Eddie O. Keith City Manager W. E. Knowles City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr. Absent: Commissioner Milton E. Smith City Attorney William L. Colbert The meeting was called to order by the Chairman. Commissioner Farr stated that Charles Williams had requested reconsideration the action of the Commission on August 22, 1983, to deny sale of alcoholic beverages consumption on premises at the Showtime Carina Taco Bravo at 203 Magnolia Avenue, further, that Mr. William's application to the State had to be made by September 1, obtain a State License on October 1, 1983. On recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Commissioner Farr to approve the Avenue. Keith. the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session in the on August 30, 1983. sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises at Seconded by Commissioner Yancey and carried over dissenting vote of of for and 1983 to moved 203 Magnolia Commissioner Consideration next given to the utilization of the anticipated pro rate share of revenues in amount of $326,935.00 for fiscal year ending September 30, 1984, from the four cent gas tax levied by the County. The City Manager submitted a schedule of street repairs and improvements, right of way acquisitions and equipment needs of the City. Commissioner Farr moved to designate the extension of Lake Mary Boulevard center line study from Highway 17-92 to Sanford Avenue and corridor study from Sanford Avenue to Highway 415 as first priority for City-County joint projects. And further, first priority for intra-City streets as Twentieth Street from Highway 17-92 to Lake Mary Road and Sanford Avenue from Seminole Boulevard to Twenty Fifth Street. Also to authorize the City Manager to approach the County for joint participation, and to obtain estimated costs for designated intra-City street improvements.
