The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session in the
City Manager's Conference Room in the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00
o'clock p. M. on December 16, 1983.
Present: Mayor-Commissioner Lee P. Moore
Commissioner Milton E. Smith
Commissioner Edward A. Yancey
Commissioner David T. Farr
Commissioner Edwin O. Keith
City Attorney William L. Colbert
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
The Chairman announced that the meeting was called to consider expanding the well
field for Plant No. 2 on 17-92, and an engineering contract to assist the City with EDB
contamination problems at the well field for Plant No. i on Country Club Road.
Commissioner Yancey moved to authorize the development of a well field at the
Hidden Lake site, the drilling on one 12" well immediately and connecting to Plant No. 2 at
an estimated cost of $86,319.00. Seconded by Commissioner Smith and carried.
City Attorney Colbert reported that Conklin, Porter & Holmes Engineers, Inc. had
submitted a standard contract for engineering services.
Commissioner Smith moved to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said
contract. Seconded by Commissioner Yancey and carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
