Mrs Bro~m~ City Librarian, came before the Commission and requested an additional appropriation for books for the Libr@ry in the sum of ~1,000.00. On ~otion duly adopted the appropriation was grsnted. On motion duly adopted the City ~2anager was authorized to remove house of U S Boyd from rip, hr-of-way of Seventh Street, between B~y Ave. and ~ellonville Ave. at the City's expense. On motion duly adopted, the City Attonney was instructed to draft papers re: calling Bond Election at as early a date as practicable. The hour having arrived to receive bids on construction of retaining wall and fill in West Side ~ulkhead district, and extension bids were opened and read: The Globe Dredging Co. bid on 1,O00,000 cu yds. The Sanford Construction Co. bid on 11,3S0 lin. of East Side District; the following of fill ~* PS~ vet Cu. Communication from L{r T L Dumas, re: A C L Crossings on Hughey St. was read, and the following order duly adopted: It is hereby ordered by the Commissioners of the City of 3anford, Florida, thet the form of contract between the said City and the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company by the provisions of which, the said Railroad Company grants to the said City the license of ]~laci~ a street crossing at grade across the right-of-way and track of the Lake 0harm Branch of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad at Hughey Street at a point on the said Railroad ZIO feet from mile post 2 ( from Sanford) as particularly described in said attached agreement dated Jan 2?, 1926, and as more fully shown on the ~lue print att ache~ to amd made a part of said agreement, be and the s~aue is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AMD DECLARED TO be the policy of this Commission that any and all extensions of the wmter and gas mains or of the sewerage system made cadet the authority of this resolution in any of the outlying districts by those owning property in s~id develop- ments or subdivisions, when smid developments and sub-divisions have s-~fficiently progressed to warrant the City in taking over said extensions, then said extensions shall be taken over by the City, and the party or parties who cause smid extensions to be made shall be reimburse~ b~ the City on an equitable basis for the cost incurred by said party or parties in the m~kin~ of ssid extensions.
