Petition from residents on ~est First Street requesting that lights be placed to
City Limits on said Street was read and the City ~anager authorized to have same installed.
Petition from Property o~mers on Park Ave. objecting to present paving program for
widening said street was read and on motion duly adopted, it was decided to suspend opera-
tions on said street from ~ird Street south for the present.
Co~muunication from Sanford Real Estate Board Re: asphalt plant read and filed.
~r Chittenden came before the Commission requesting paving of streets in Pinehurst
as follows:
Central and Spurling Streets from French Ave. to Lake Ave., Maple, Holly, Lake and
Cedar Avenues between Central and Spurling Streets a width of 2~ feet.
On motion duly adopted the Engineer was authorized to proceed with preliminary work.
On motion duly adopted, the Clerk was authorized to publish preliminary resolutions
on paving Park Ave. from Fulton St. to Third St., ; Second St. from Pump Branch to Oak Ave.
Sanford Ave. from First St. to Fifth St.; and First St. from Sanford Ave. to A C L R R.
tracks and on Oak Ave. from First St. to Fifth St.; Hughey St. from Lilly Court to Mellonville
Ave.

There being no other bids, on motion duly adopted, the City
Manager was authorized to ourchase s~ue at a sum of ~32,090.00, and to execure contract for
s~me on the part of the City.
Petition for e~ection of bulletin board by Broadcasters Sign Co. was read and
the matter laid over till next regular meeting.
Conm~uication from W ~ Thor~son Re: donating site for swi~uning pool read and
filed.
On motion duly adopted the City Hanager was authorized to have sidewalks constructed
on the north side of East First Street from Sanford Ave. east to Hotel Forrest Lake.
Also to have street lights installed on Hughey St. at entrance to Highland Park.
On motion duly adopted the City ),~nager was authorized to purchase one Graham Truck
for use in sewer construction.
