07261926-Regular MeetingCITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA. MINUTES JULY 26~ 1926 REGULAR ~ETING. Present: Cormnissioners Forrest Lake ( Absent: Commissioner, S 0 Chase. Present: City ~anager, ~ B Williams, George A DeCottes. ~yor) and E F Housholder. City Engineer, Fred T Williams; City Attorney Minutes of last regular meeting read and approved. Con~issioner E F Housholder introduced Resolution ~310, entitled: "A Resolution providing for the paving , re-paving hard surfacing and re-hard surfacing of Pecan Ave. from Tenth St. south to Twelfth St. and Twelfth St. from Pecan Ave. west to Olive Ave. a width of 24 feet." and moved that same be adopted. Said motion which was duly seconded prevailed by the unanimous vote of the City Commission. Thereupon the 0hairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida had by unanimous vote passed and adopted that certain resolution entitled: A Resolution pro~dih~o~i:the:paving, re~&~ing hard surfacing and re-hard surfacing of Pecan Ave. from Tenth St. south to Twelfth St. and Twelfth St. from Pecan Ave. west to Olive Ave. a width of 24 feet." Thereupon Commissioner E F Housholder introduced Resolution ~311, entitled: "A Resolution requiring the widening, grading and paving of State Road No. 3, from a point 22 feet south of the north line extended of Lot 22 in the Plat of Pine Heights south and southwesterly to the City Limits, to a width of 32 feet instead of 18 feet ~s heretofore authorized." and moved that same be adopted. Said motion which was duly seconded prevailed by the unanimous vote of the City Commission. Thereupon the Chairman of the City Con,mission announced that the City Co~ission of the City of Sanford, Florida had by unanimous vote passed and adopte~ that certain resolution entitled: "A Resolution requiring the widening, grading and paving o£ State Road ;~o. 3, from a point 22 feet south of the north line extended of Lot 22 in the Plat of Pine Heights, south and Southwesterly to the City Limits, to a width of 32 f~et instead of 18 feet ~s heretofore ~uthorized." Thereupon Connuissioner E F Housholder introduced Resolution ~31~ entitled: "A Resolution requiring the widening, grading and paving of State Road No. 3, from Katie Street to Franklin Street to a width of 32 feet instezd of 2~ feet as heretofore authorized." and moved that same be adopted. Said motion which was duly seconded prevailed by the unanimous vote of the City Co~issi~n Thereuoon the Chairman of the City Co~nission ~nnounced that the City Commission of the City I of S~nford had by unanimous vote passed and adopted that certain resolution entitled: A Resolution requiring the widening, grading ~nd o~ving of State Road No. 3 from Kat~e~treet ~6 Franklin~$tr~&t',~ to a~id~h 0f'32 f~et i~s~ead ~f!24~f~et, as heretofore ~uthorized." Thereupon Co~mnissioner E F Housholder introduced Resolution #313, entitled: "A Resolution requiring the widening , grading and paving of State Road No. 3, from Franklin Street south to a point 22 feet south of the north line extended of Lot 22 in the Plat of Pine Heights, to a Width of 32 feet instead of 2~ feet as heretofore authorized." ~nd moved that s~me be adopted. Said motion which was duly seconded prevailed by the ~manimous vote of the City Com- mission . CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, MINUTES 19 ~ere~oon Commissioner E F Housholder introduced Resolution ~$15, entitled: "A Resolution requiring the widening, grading and paving of Third Street from Pecan Avenue west to Avacado Ave.,r~and Avacado Ave. between Third Street and First Street to a width of 24 feet instead of lo feet as heretofore authorized." and moved .that same be adopted. Said motion which was duly seconded prevailed by the unanimous vote of the City Commission. Thereupon the Chairman of the City Co~mrission announced that the City Conunission of the City of Sanford, Florida had by ~animous vote pagsed and adopted that certain resolutim ~315 entitled: "A Resolution requiring the widening , grading and paving of Third Street from Pecan Ave. ~st to Avacado Ave. and Avacado Ave. between ~zrd Street and First Street to a width of 2~ feet instead of 16 feet as heretofore authorized." Thereupon Conmmissioner E F Housholder introduced Resolution ~316, entitled: "A Resolution requiring the widening , grading and paving of Geneva Street from Linden Ave. East to Brisson Avenue, to a width of 24 feet instead of 16 feet as hereEof=re a~thorized." and moved that same be adopted. Thereupon said motion was duly seconded and prevailed by the unanimous vote of the City Commission. Thereupon the Chairman of the City Co~nission announced ;hat the Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida had by uanimous vote of the City Commission passed and adopted that certain Resolution ~316, entitled: "A Resolution requiring the widening, ~rading and paving of Geneva Street from ~inden Ave. East to Brisson Avenue, to a width of 2~ feet instead of 16 feet as heretofore authorized." :,~r Edward Hirgins Certain l~rds adjacent to motion duly adopted the ilayor and Clerk were authorized City in exchange for deed from Edward. H~o~zn . City Engineer submitted plats of "Loch Arbor" and "Loch Arbor Country Club section". The Florida Power & Light Co. taken under advisement. came before the Commission and oUom~tted prooosition to exchange Golf Course for certain tract of the Golf ~Oourse lands; and on to execute a deed on behalf of the "Crystal Lake Club Section" and on motion duly adopted same were approved. submitted contracts for light and power, which were Er R C Zaxwell submitted a proposition to sell the City a tract of land lying between Eldorado Subdivision and E R Trafford's Hap for the sum of ~5,000.00 , and on motion duly adopted same was approved. Upon motion duly adoptsd the City Hanager was authorized to proceed to construct a concrete bridge at the crossing of Third St. the Engineer's estimate of i~12,000.00 On motion duly adopted the ~lerk was Taxes on the 1925 tax roll: over :,iitl Creek at a cost not to exceed authorized to cancel the following Personal H ~.V !illiams 5.4-0 ( ~o property) Hubb Dept.
