090326CITY COMMI6SION, SANFORD. FLORIDA MINUTES Adjourned Session Sept. 3, 1926 Present: Commissioners Forrest Lake and E F Housholder. Absent: Commissioner S 0 Chase. At 2:30 O'Clock P.M. the Chairman announced that the hour had arrived for the opening of bids for the purchase of eight issues of bonds, aggregating the sum of $5?5,000.00 authorized authorized by Ordinances Nos. llO, lll, 112, 114, llS, ll6, a~d 121 of the City of Sanford, Florida duly adopted on March 8th 1926, which said ordi~ces were ratified, confi~med and approved at an election had and held in the City of Sanford Florida on April 19, 1926 Thereupon all sealed bids received by the City Commission were ordered to be opened and read, and the following bids were then and there opened and read: Wright , Warlow & Company. ~2 The Brown-C~,mmer Company and 8easongood & Hayer accrued For 325,000.0~ Utility Bonds for improvement and eatension of water works plant and system, $200,0001 Utility Bonds for improvement and extension of gas Plant and $75,000.00 Utility bonds for extension electric Street lighting equipment, totaling $600,000.00 $571,260.00 For $1,575,000.00 Improvement bonds 5½% interest Interest to date of delivery. 1, 482.547.50 with After due consideration of the bids submitted, all of said bids were rejected. The Clerk was then ~Lizected to return to each bidder the Good Faith check submitted each bid. Oity Engineer , Fred T Williams presented Plat of "Second Section of Marvania" and same was approved and ordered recorded in Oity Plat Book. Upon motion duly seconded, it was agreed that the assessment for the paving of Seminole Noulevard from Se~*ord Ave. to Mellonville Ave be pro-rated as follows: 1/2 of the assessment to be charged to property abutting on the south side of said Blvd. l~3of the assessment to be charged to Oity of Sanford. 1/6 of the assessment to be charged to property abutting on the north side of said Blvd. The City ~-~uager was authorized to have light installed in Park just north of Grammar school and 1 at the intersection of Geneva St. and Elm Ave. Oommissioner E F Housholder introduced Resolution $ 318 authorizing the cancellation of the following City Tax Certificates: Tax Oertif 382 dated April 1, 1916 " "~71 dated April 1, 1917 · m 420 dated Apr 1, 1918 · " 455 dated A~r 1, 1919 Same was unanimously adopted, and the Oity Olerk instructed to have s~me cancelled of record. There being no further business , a recess was then taken until two-thirty O(01ock P.M. on the ~day of September A.D.1926, at which time bids will be received for the sale of the above bonds at private sale.
