Present:
The ~:ayor stated that he had received a bill f£.om Frank L. ~'~oodruff in the
sum of ~5,000.00 as for damages, on a~count of the City having cut a ditch thro~h his
property without auvhority. This bill was referred to the City ~,[anager for investigation.
Owing to ohe fact that a new City Manager had not yet been appointed,
Er. w. B. Williams consented to remain with the City until such time as his successor hhall
be appointed and qualified.
Communication from L. R. Philips tendering his resignation as City Clerk
to take effect as of January 31st, 1928 was read and accepted and filed.
Co~nunication from L. R. Philips applying for the position of City Tax
Assessor was read and filed.
