The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Budget Retreat on
Thursday, June 14, 2012, at 1:30 PM, in the Bettye D. Smith Cultural Arts Center, 119
W. 5` Street, Sanford, Florida.

Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
Mayor Triplett called the meeting to order at 1:46 PM.
1. Introduction of the proposed 2012/2013 budget.
City Manager Bonaparte distributed and presented a power point
presentation, Review of FY 12 -13 Budget. Topics discussed included: budget outlook —
revenues and expenditures; recommendations to balance the FY 12 -13 budget; changes
made to personnel during 2010, 2011, and 2012 budget planning; CIP, sustainability, and
ad valorem tax rates.
The proposed budget will be submitted to the Commission next week.
Budget work shops are scheduled for July 2 and 3.
