the City Hall in Sanford Florida at 7:30 P E April 12, 1928

The Chairman announced that the purpose of the meeti~ was to discuss with rep-
resentatives of Investment Bankers, and also with representative citizens of Sanford, who had.
been invited to attend, the question of the non-payment of 192~ taxes and the matter of re-
financing the City.
After considerable discussion between the members of the City Co~nission, the
representatives of the Investment B~nkers and various citizens of Sanford, whereby the ex-
act status of the City was explained and the necessity for the payment of taxes shown, it was
decided to call a mass meeting of the citizens o2 Sa~mford at as early a date as possible in
order that the facts as brought out at this meeting my be presented to the people of Sanford
as a whole.
