ADJOURNED REGULAR SESSION - April 24 at 2 O'Clock P M 1928
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in adjourned Regular
session at the City Hall , Sanford Florida at Two O'Clock P M on Tuesday April 24, 1928

Commissioner Miller presented proposal from W W Warner to lease the Municipal
Golf Course for the balance of 1928, from May lst., 1929 and 1930, with renewal privilege
at an annual rental of $1200.00, the City to furnish the necessary fertilizer for the grounds.
Thereupon, upon motion duly adopted, the proposal of Mr Warner was accepted, with
the addition thereto, that the City would reserve the right to cancel if it were deemed that
the Golf Course at any time were not properly maintained, and the City Manager was instructed
to have the City Attorney draw up proper lease.
City Manager presented report of street lights cut off, thereby making a s~ving of
$583.59 per month, and same was approved and ordered filed.
Upon motion duly adopted the City Clerk was authorized to designate Chief of Police
R G Williams as Deputy Clerk ~f the Municipal Court, his duties to be that of Clerk at all
sessions of the Court.
City Clerk presented receipt No. 27042, issued by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlantal
to the Sanford Atlantic Natior~l Bank, for certain U S. Treasury Certf. of Ind. Series TD 2 1928
par vs,lue $7,000.00 and receipt No 27043 for certain U S Treasury Certs of Ind Series TM 1929
Par value $30,000.00 Which were received from the Sanford Atlantic National Bank as additionaL
collateral security for City of Sanford funds deposited in the Sanford Atlantic National
B:~nk, and same were approved.
Chief of Police R G Williams was instructed to allow Willie Green, now serving a sentence
of 90 days in ~ail ( in lieu of a fine of $200.00) to pay $50.(~O in ca, sh, be given a credit
of $50.00 for the two weeks already served, have ~50.00 of the fine suspended, and be released,
the balance of the fine amounting to $50.00 to be paid in installments to be regulated by the
Chief of Police.

Chie~ of Police Williams w~s instructed to suspend one half the fine of Laura Kelly,
allow her to pay $50.00 in cash and release her, the balance of the fine amounting to $5~.00
to be paid in installments to be regulated by the Chief.
On motion duly adopted the Sanford Signal was designated as the newspaper in which~
the delinGuent Tax List for the 1927 Tax Roll shall be published, the price submitted by
that publication being the lowest of those received.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned to meet
