The City Col~ission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in an adjourned session
at the City Hall in Sanford, Florida at ~:30 P M May 4, 1928

Minutes of Regular ~ etzng of April 4, Adjourned meeting of April 12 and
adjourned meeting of April 16th , 192S read s~d ~proved.
~.~r S G Gray of the firm of Hall & Pentland, City Auditors requested instructions
as to whether the books of the Clerk of the Circuit Court havi~ to do with the collections
made by the redemption of City of Sanford Tax Certificates should be audited at the san~
time the regular audit )f the City's books is made.
Nr Gray was instructed that this audit should be made and the Clerk was instructed to
notify the Clerk of ~he Circuit Court to that effect.
Upon motion duly adopted, the proposal made by Nr V~ W Warner for the lease of the
Municipal Golf Course, and previously accepted by the City,was ~mended to read at a rental
of $50.00 per month , and the City Attorney was instructed to immediately draw ~n a leas~
same to be dated ~ay 15th. 1928.
~oon motion duly adopted, permission was granted for the erection of a gasoline
filling station on the East side of Park Ave. between Second and Third Streets, sa~ to
comply with all requirements of the building code.
Commissioner Housholder presented claim from John F Pearson for damages sustained to his
his property on '~est First Street by the digging of a drainage ditch adjacent thereto, and
~oon motion duly adopted, the Clerk was instructed to draw check in favor of ~gr Pearson,
for $75.OO settlement in full for s~ll damages claimed, s~ne $o be charged to the contingen~
fund.
City Clerk presented letter from ~irs B F ~,hitner tendering her resignation as a
member of the Library Board. Same was accepted.
Petition received protesting against the keeping of a cow in the residential
section of the City at the home place of G C Fellows on Pslmetto Ave, same claimed to be
a public nuisance.
Petition referred to City manager Cairns with instructions to advise ~gr Fellows to
im]nediately remove the cow.
~etition received requesting the City Commission to h~ve the A C L R.R. Co erect
gates at Rand Siding Crossing of the A C L R.R. Co. for the protection of lives and property
at this point.
Action postponed until first regular meetmno o~ the City Co~nmission ih May to be
held May l~, 1928, and Clerk instructed to notify ~r Dumas , Supt. of the A C L R.R. Co.
requesting him to be present at that meeting.
Request received from the McCracken Concrete Pipe Co. to apply part of money
due them by the City against 1927 Taxes owed by that Con, any.
The Clerk was instructed to obtain from ~cCraeken Concrete Pipe Co. an order

Clerk was instructed to obtain from Randall Electric Co. a~ order authorizing the
City to deduct from money coming to them an amount equal to the taxes in question,
tax receipt to be '-] ~
~nen made out but held Until settlement is made.
City T~x Collector was instructed to advertise for sale allproperty, whether under
Tax Certificate or not, where the 1927 t,~xes have not been paid.
Upon motion duly adopted, the City Attorney was authorized to proceed with the issua~e
of the Third Block of Refinancing Bonds, as per Official Doc~nent A-3, prepared by Hall & Pent-
land, City Auditors.
City Clerk presented two certificates from the First National Bank Trust Department,
date of April l0 and 30th 1928. respectively, certifying to the deposit therein of certain bon
as security for City of Sanford moneys on deposit in the First National Bank, same being in
words and figures as follows:
