The City Commission of the City of Sanford Florida met in Regular Session at the
City Hall in Sanford Florida at 2 O'Clock P M June ~5~ 1928.

The Clerk presented affidavit furnished by Mr G P Paxton, formerly Building and
Plumbing Inspector, as evidence that he had furnished a Ford Touring Car as part payment of
the present Ford Sedan, 1924 Model, Engine No. 936S217, used by the Inspection Department
said Ford Touring Car having been his personal property. Mr Paxton having requested that the
Ford Sedan used by the Inspection Department be transferred to him in exchange for his
equity in said Car, and it being the sense of the Commission that this equity is equivalent
to t~e present value of said Ford Sedan.
Commissioner Miller made the motion , which unanimously prevailed that the request
of Mr Paxton be complied with, and the Clerk was instructed to notify Mr Paxton to that effect
Upon motion of Commissioner Miller, which was unanimously adopted, it was ordered
that the aate of the final determination of final assessments to be imposed in the West
Side Bulkhead District against property where retaining wall and fill have beem completed,
be extended a period of six months from the date formerly determined, said date being July l,
1928.
Dr. J T Denton representing the Medical Society , appeared before the Commission
and urged that the Fernald Laughton Hospital be placed under the control of the County Com-
missioners, thereby making it a County Hospital instead of a City Hospital, as at present.
Action deferred until a later date, it being the opinion of the Commission, however
that favorable consideration would be given the matter at such time when a definite proposi-
tion would be presented.
Bills rendered by the Fernald Laughton Hospital, totalling $249.00 were examined and
payment approved.
Upon motion duly adopted, the Clerk was instructed to charge to Contingent Fund,
advertising charges of the San~ord Herald, amo~muting to $322.19 and Sanford Signal, amount-
ing to $42.00 representing advertising tax program..
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
