Commissioner Frank L ~iller offered the motion, which unanimously prevailed, that N D Tarbell be paid a special fee of $50.00 for special services rendered within the line of~ his employment in the collection of personal taxes from the Receiver of the Beminole County Bank and the Try-~ge-Bottling Works, in which instances he had to make levy of tax execution and in one instance had to sell the property under said tax execution. Commissioner Frar~ L ~Iiller introduced Ordirance No. 152 entitled: "AN ORDInaNCE PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF PRIVY ELECTIONS IN THE CITY OF SA~ORD FLORIDAi. S~ne was placed upon its first reading. Thereupon, Commissioner ~[iller moved that the rules ~ be waived, and said Ordinance be placed upon its second reading. Thereupon, the vote recurre~ on the waivure of the rules. Those voting for the waivure of the rules being: Co~mmissioner E F Housholder and Co~muissioner Frank L Miller. Thereupon Commissioner ~iller moved that the said ordinance be placed upon its sec- ond reading and final~ass~oe,- o~ and the said ordinance be read in full. Thereupon said ordi- nance was read in full by the Clerk. Roll call was taken on the final passage and adoptio~ of said ordinance. Those voting for its final passage and adoption being: Commissioner E F Housholder and Commissioner Frank L Miller. Thereupon the Chairman of the Commission announced that the Commission by its unani- mous vote had passed and adopted said Ordinance No.152 entitled: "AN ORDI~ANCE PROVIDI~G FOR THE HOLDING OF PRI~3~RY ELECTIONS IN THE CITY OF SAI~FOPD, Floirda." Thereupon Oommissioner Frank L Miller introduced Ordinance No. 153, entitled: "AN ORDINANOE If~OSING CERTAIN OCCUPATIO~AL LICENSE TAXES IH THE CITY OF SANFORD FLORIDA." Same was placed upon its first reading. Thereupon Co~mnissioner ~lller moved that the rules be waived , and the said ordinance be placed upon its second reading. MINUTES Adjourned Session ~ct l, 2 P N 19_ 28 Thereupon Commissioner Frank L ~iller introduced Ordinance No. 154, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE GROUPING OF CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION TO THE OFFICES OF CITY CO~iISSIO~R OF THE CITY OF S~ORD FLORIDA." Same was placed upon its first reading. Thereupon Commissioner Niller moved that the rules be waived, and said Ordinance be placed upon its second reading, Thereupon, the vote recurred on the waivure of the rules. Those voting for the waiv- ute of the rules being: Commissioner E F Housholder, and Commissioner Frank L Miller. Thereupon Commissioner Miller moved that the said ordinance be placed ~oon its second reading and final passage, and the said ordinance be read in full. Thereupon said ordinance was read in full by the Clerk. Thereupon the Chairman of the Commission announced that the Commission by its unauimoqs v~te had passed and adopted said ordinance No. 154 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE GROUPING OF CANDIDATES FO~ ELECTION TO THE OFFICES OF CITY CO~ISSION^OF THE CITY OF SAi~ORD FLORIDA." The City Clerk was ordered and instructed to open the registration books for the Primary Election to be held November 6th 1928; thirty days prior to the holding of said elect- ion and said books to be kept open until ten days prior to said election. Upon motion duly adopted Er E F Lane was employed to take a co~olete census of the City of Sanford at a contract price of $350.00, said census to be completed not later than sixty days from this date. The budget for 1928-29 previously submitted, was tentatively adopted, and the Clerk was instructed that with the beginning of the new Fiscal Year all expenditures applicable to the new fiscal year Shall be made on the basis of the appropriation~set forth in the budget this day tentatively adopted..
