The City Commission of the City of Sanford Florida met in adjourned session at the
City Hall in Sanford Florida at 3 O'Clock P N November 8, 1928.

Commissioner Niller introduced Resolution No. 373~ which was unanimously adopted, said
resolution being in words and figures as follows:
WHEREAS, it has been made known to the City Co~nission of the City of San~ord Florida
that the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Sanford, Florida is indebted to the Record Company
of St. Augustine, Florida in the amount of $7,6?5.00, with accrued interest thereon, and
WHEREAS, salt indebtedness due the Record Company by the Chamber of Commerce of the City
of Sanford, Florida is long past due, and
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce of the City of San£ord Florida do not have funds in hand
with which to pay and discharge said indebtedness, and
the failure on the part of the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Sanford,
adjust said account will reflect with great discredit upon the City of Sanford
the City of San£ord, Florida, has in the past under the authority vested in it
to make appropriations for publicity purposes, from time to time advanced funds of the City
to assist the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Sanford Florida in its publicity efforts
for and on behalf of the citizens of the City of Sanford, Florida, and
WHEREAS, Some time ago the City of Sanford Florida, notified the Chamber of Commeree
of the City of Sanford Florida that it would be impossible to make any further advances
of City funds unto it to be used by the 0hamber of Commerce for publicity purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Sanford, Florida, has made known to the
City Commission that it was depending upon funds to be paid it by the City of Sanford, Florida
with which to pay ~nd discharge its obligation to the Record Company, and
~EREAS, because of the general financial stringency it is impossible for the City of
Sanford Florida to continue from year to year to make appropriations out of the publicity
fund for use and expenditure by the Cha~nber of Commerce of the City of Sanford, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida desires to assist financially as far as possible the
chamber of commerce of the city of Sanford Florida therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that if the Record Company of St. Augustine , Florida will accept and
receive of ~nd from the City of S~nford, Florida , four bonds
each, numbers ~91,492,493 and 494 of an issue of bonds in the
known as Series "A-l", dated the 1st day of January A.D. 1928,
of the denomination of $1000.00
aggregate sum of $693,000.00
bearing interest at the
rate of five and one-half and six per cent per annum, the bonds above numbered bearing
interest at the rate of six per cent per annum, in full settlement, discharg~ and satisfaction
of the indebtedness of $~,675.00 and any and all accrued interest due thereon, now due
and payable by the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Sanford, Florida, to the Record Company
the ~ayor and the City Clerk of the City of Sanford, Florida, are hereby authorized to exe-

due and payable as aforesaid by the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Sanford, Florida
unto the Record Company, said bonds however, are not to be delivered to the Record Company
until said Record Company has executed and delivered a full and complete receipt and
acquittance unto the Chamber o£ Commerce of the City of Sanford, Florida, covering its
claim as aforesaid against said Ch~nber of Commerce of the City of Sanford, Florida
Adopted on this the Sth day of No~. A.D. 1928.
