The ~ity Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in adjourned/Session at the
City Hall, San£ord, Florida at 2 O'Clock P N November 13, 1928.

Reading of Einutes dispensesed with .
Current invoices and payrolls for the month of October 1928 properly audited and
vouchered by the Accounting Department, were su~itted, examined, approved and the Clerk
instructed to draw checks in payment thereof.
Report of City ~anager for the month of October 1928 submitted.
Financial Statement and statement of revenues and expenditures for the month of
OctoOer 1928 submitted.
Bank Statements for the month of October 1928, in all accounts submitted.
Upon motion duly adopted, the Clerk was instructed to pay to the Sanford Chamber of
0ommerce $500.00, said amount to be charged to the publicity fund, . ./
Upon motion duly adopted, the expenditure by the $anford Chamber of Commerce of $500.00
was authorized for the purpose of printing advertising pamphlets of $anford, said amount
to be charged to the Publicity Fund.
Fire Chief, Cleveland appeared before the Commission and requested authority to purchase
1000 feet of fire hose from the Eureka Fire Hose Co. at a cost of $1.40 per foot. Authority
granted.
Nr E F Lane submitted the following report as to the census of Sanford, and the same
was adopted as the official census of the City of $anford, Florida:

Gentlemen:
After carefully making a house-to-house canvass of every house in the City limits
of Sanford, Florida I wish to make the following report as to the census of $anford.

~he Nat,.er of th~ l~aee between the CLty of Sanf~d,_:Florida and Harry S Jamieson,
of the Nunicipal Golf Course, which was entered into with Harry S Jamieson by the City on the
15th day of Nay 1928, came up for discussion, and from reports received by the Commission, an~
from ~ctual knowledge of the Commission from a personal investigation, it was unanimously the
opinion of the Commission that Harry S Jamieson, the lessee of said property, was in default
under the terms and conditions of the lease, in that he has failed to maintain the golf course
in good and first class condition, and to keep the grass out of the fairways, and to maintain
in first class condition all tees and greene to the satisfaction of the City of Sanford, Florida.

BE IT RESOLVED: that because

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Nayor of the CiW of S~nford, Florida, be, and he is ,
hereby requested to write the said Harry S Jamieson, notifying him of the
lease, and demanding him to surrender possession of said leased property
November 1928, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,

Upon motion duly adopted, it was ordered that the license for Bread Vendors, having a
place of business beyond the territorial limits of the City of Sanford Florida, delivering
bread within the corporate limits of ~he City of Sanford, Florida be reduced to $100.00
Upon motion duly adopted , it was ordered that the l~2y Personal Tax of S F Doudney be
reduced to $25.00 on account of error in assessment.
Upon motion duly adopted, it was ordered that the 192Y Personal Tax of A E Cadey, amount-
i ng to $15.63 be cancelled, on account of Nr Cadey not living in the City limits on January 1
1927.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned to meet again November 14th. 1928
